ericnpeterson Posted December 12, 2006 Author Posted December 12, 2006 Would you be interested in a Hamer Daytona Transparent purple in trade? USA 1994?not really i am looking for something in a more traditional vein, thank you for the offer.
peedenmark7 Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 wow, too bad that was done to it... a bound neck on a chap is cool !
Punkavenger Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 I bet Greg could put the floyd back on! (that might be a new one )
black magic Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 Wow, that is so sad that was done to that guitar. The headstock alone is a custom shop option. Jack.
ericnpeterson Posted December 13, 2006 Author Posted December 13, 2006 Wow, that is so sad that was done to that guitar. The headstock alone is a custom shop option. Jack.I have never liked floyds but considering what some think this thing would be worth with one i am starting to get sad myself. I dont have much invested in it though so i am sure i didnt get hurt on the deal. Any intrest at all? just think of it as a hard tail chaparral, now that is rare....
black magic Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 I hear ya man. I think if it had the orginal floyd, it would have been sold already. we are a picky bunch when it comes to Hamers. If it is a custom and it is messed with like that, well....... Good luck on the sale bro Jack.
GusS Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 i think it's more the rear cover than the floyd. what is that, and why?
ericnpeterson Posted December 13, 2006 Author Posted December 13, 2006 PRICE DROP to 700, check out posts over at the gear page:http://thegearpage.net/board/showthread.php?t=194293
ericnpeterson Posted December 15, 2006 Author Posted December 15, 2006 All right ladies and gentlemen I am Dropping my price once again, $600!
hamertek98 Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 Good Luck. I think the plastic on the back is scaring people away. Great guitar BTW! Ya might drop the price a little, and someone here might restore it. No digs... just reality.
hamerjunkie Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 Do you have any pics of what`s behind the plastic backplate?
marcnorth Posted December 17, 2006 Posted December 17, 2006 there's more of it here.http://s117.photobucket.com/albums/o76/ericnpeterson/
cmatthes Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 Again, this is a shame that this mod was done to such a cool custom guitar. I agree with Hamertek98. Looks like a solid repair, but the work looks a little...unique.
ericnpeterson Posted December 19, 2006 Author Posted December 19, 2006 Still availible, seriously shoot me an offer and I will defiantely consider it, I would love to move this before christmas.
peedenmark7 Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 has kind of a duotone vibe from the front...why the repairman wouldve made such a big back plate when he couldve put a simply larger trem cover on ?...it wouldnt be hard to put it back... but who knows what the face looks likeunder that big bridge surround...refin the top for sure to make it right. and then the extra holes on back, still the s.s. headstock looks cool on it...
