cwgatti Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 I can't find one. I was in NYC (48th street) and I didn't see any. I want a Monocco, but I want to play one, or I will go PRS. Any help?
Craig Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 You can try Royal Music in Merrick, but I don't think they are a current dealer and may only still have the same overpriced old store stock they have had for years. Nice guys though, I bought my Taylor there. I typed in my zip code and the Hamer website gave me the following:Hamer dealers NYC/Long IslandI bought a guitar from Greggy over the net, love it, still have it. I know plenty of other dealers, including Greg, Al, Dave, & Bill are all cool cats if you want to go the net route. Your best bet may be going to a "shudders" Sam Ash, but don't count on the guitar being even remotely set up. Also, put a post on the main board to see if someone in the area owns one, maybe you can meet a board member and try out a guitar at the same time.

BigBob Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 I know a big Hamer fan that gets em at Rudy's in NYC I think but I don't see it on the list from Hamer.
sw686blue Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 Of course, that invitation is open to any HFC-er (unless they're Canadian, of course). I'll look you up when next time I'm in the area. I'll be the univited guest who stays for a month.

ArnieZ Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 Russo Music in Trenton NJ might be the closest brick and mortar with any significant Hamer stock. I'm in Fairfield County CT and you're welcome to play any of mine. I have a few different flavors ArnieZ
mc2 Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 Angelo Gallo Guitars in Farmingville out in Suffolk County, about halfway out on the island, is a Hamer dealer owned by one of the longtime local guitarists who knows gear. I called and they still have some US axes in stock but said a lot sold during the holidays. I know they've done a number of custom orders over the years. One of my custom basses came thru there originally that I got secondhand.Rudy's in NYC isn't a Hamer Dealer any longer last I checked.Oh for the old days of the Focus II Guitars locations....KILLER 80s HAMER DEALER!!!
kizanski Posted January 6, 2007 Posted January 6, 2007 Rudy's in NYC isn't a Hamer Dealer any longer last I checked. No deals of any kind to be had there, either.
gregc Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 I was at Angelo Gallo's last week. He sold 17 HAMERusa guitars over the holidays but there were still about a half dozen on the racks.Give Ang a call and tell him Greg Condemi sent ya.631-696-4672
