mattb Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 Hey Guys,My sister wants to get my brother in-law a guitar for his birthday. He has always wanted to learn to play but never had the chance. She is pretty low on the cash. Looking to spend around $200. Anyone have any nice little imports or anything similar that they would like to move? I would PIF one of mine, but I don't have many these days and really don't want to let any of the ones I have go.Also, I was thinking I would buy him a starter amp. Anything out there?Thanks!-MattBHA, Just noticed that I put WTF in the header...Meant to put WTB...whoops.
tomteriffic Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 Matt, let me take a look down in Buzzard Gulch. As for an amp, you never really outgrow a MicroCube.

mattb Posted May 2, 2007 Author Posted May 2, 2007 Cool man. I will call you tonight. Although not sure if an unforgiving tele would be right for him, maybe I'll take it
Rocktuna Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 I have a Korean EVO that I would let go for $200.00 plus shipping can send pics if wanted. Includes gig bag.Set neck, rosewood board all original parts, really low miles looks brand new100% on the Microcube.
ZR Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 Korean Hamer Black Sunburst w/ cool cream binding. Very nice shape. Sounds great! No case but I will box it up like crazy. $200 shipped. This is the older Slammer Series that some consider to be quite good. I wish my first guitar was this good!!Maybe the Tech 21 T10 for a little amp? I like the T60 a lot.
Jimbilly Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 You can find Mexi-strats for that price, but the search may take a little more time than you have.
mattb Posted May 3, 2007 Author Posted May 3, 2007 I pm'd ya back Matt!Paypalled and replied! Thanks for all the response guys. I decided to go with ZR's import studio. I figured it would be the best choice for the noob to get started on Hamers.
ZR Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 ALright, all ready to be picked up! Like I said, I wish my first guitar was like this! My first one had a plywood body, extra cheap hardware etc. This one has a mahogany body, better hardware etc. Has a great classic look in the black with cream binding. Let me know when you get it and how he likes it.
