gfc55 Posted May 13, 2007 Posted May 13, 2007 Great report, guys. Now I'm really wishing I had just bought a plane ticket and gone along. Maybe next year...
Bernard from Belgium Posted May 13, 2007 Posted May 13, 2007 Thanks to all you guys for being around! I have the same feeling as Jeroen: everyone around was fantastic and we all felt like close friends! We all had fun, we all were able to hold and try the dreamguitars, Bruce was absolutely great and THE leader of the HFC-euro-jam-band.Thanks Conrad for making it all possible. Hope you don't have to work too much now to clean the house...Thanks to those who attended the SpellbAund-gig at Celtic Ireland Ostend...Hope to see y'all very soon!Take care.Bernard
Guest pirateflynn Posted May 13, 2007 Posted May 13, 2007 Wow looks like a killer time. Great garden Conrad!
Gabe Posted May 13, 2007 Posted May 13, 2007 It was great to be there, all of the people there were very sympathetic. Conrad (Belgian) had a good program to spend the afternoon (playing Hamer guitars with the other guys), evening (visiting the brewery and drinking the very famous "Dulle Teve" a.k.a. "Mad Bitch" beer, and night (with a performance by Bernard from Belgium and his band). Thanks again Conrad for making it all possible and making it happen. Very nice to meet all of the other guys. Never met before but instantly everyone seemd to know each other. Bruce teached us a lot of three (or sometimes even four) chord songs. That was great. However I felt a bit embarrassed by the talent of the other guys like Jeroen and Bernard who can really play the guitar. It was a great idea to have the USA Hamer importer (for Belgium and The Netherlands) there with 5 brand new Hamers. One was an import Goldtop with handwound humbucking pickups. But the boys were of course more interested in the USA Hamers. And the Talladega, man, what a great guitar that is. Lightweight due to the fact that it has a chambered body, nice chunky neck, and a punchy sound reminiscent of P-90's but still different. Seems to be usable for a lot of situations. Now first I will have to move something else...... So the most striking moment for me was when Conrad told he decided not to buy more guitars (after he just got the Korina Junior that Bruce brought with him). I think I do not believe he will not buy more guitars, I think he will have a need for a Talladega sometime in the (near) future. Time will tell. Next year again??? Gabe

BruceM Posted May 15, 2007 Author Posted May 15, 2007 What are you supposed to do with that? It's a beer glass. You fill it with Duvel, drink, repeat...
ScottM Posted May 15, 2007 Posted May 15, 2007 What are you supposed to do with that? It's a beer glass. You fill it with Duvel, drink, repeat... I'm assuming Chris is still confused. Scott
MCChris Posted May 15, 2007 Posted May 15, 2007 What are you supposed to do with that? It's a beer glass. You fill it with Duvel, drink, repeat...Seems unnecessary when you can just slug it down out of the bottle, but I'll try anything once!
BCR Greg Posted May 15, 2007 Posted May 15, 2007 "but I'll try anything once!"Don't say that in jail.
