I had a Cherry Sunburst PT (or Saturn? s/n 1812 IIRC) that I should have never sold. Only one I've seen before or since. Also had a more recent Tele Deluxe style. They make an 8-string bass that I'm eyeballin'...

A whopping $399.

Let us know when you get some in stock.

Are they available in any other colors?

There's a Schecter shop in our town.Kate and I went to look at a house that was for sale and we were told the owner runs a guitar company. When we went into the house it was filled with Schecter's.

Is their base here in Burbank?

Congrats on becoming a Schecter dealer; I won a Jerry Horton 'Papa Roach' model a couple of years ago while waiting for GC to open for one of their 'big sales' (a friend needed a bass and amp, and wanted to make sure he wasn't getting hosed too bad, so I was the voice of reason lol). It was a really nice guitar and sounded pretty darned good, but mrs stonge's face when I walked in the door carrying that was priceless (maybe it was the gigbag with the silkscreen image of a skeleton riding a skeleton horse through a graveyard at midnight) lol. Very cool guitar, that eventually found a home with someone in the right demographic.

Nice guitars - didn't they make an extended-scale 7 string for a while? I actually kinda like the military look models - I have books of the old nose art from WWII aircraft, and those looked pretty cool IMHO. Congrats on the new line!

The 8's would be a special order since I don't see them selling in our store. They're only in Black. Maybe if a few folks show interest I can ask for a deal (like free cases or something). I'm in for one.

I played one of the import 7s and was blown away by how well it was made. IMHO these can't be beat for the price. I compared it to an Ibanez 7 and it wasn't even close, the Schecter destroyed it.

+1 Kiz....that couch put me to sleep in about 3 min!! LOL!!!

Dave...any thoughts on having another DC get together?

Not at the moment. Congrats on your new gig BTW!

I know I'm going to regret asking this, but are those set necks or bolt-ons?

good luck.

being in our biz these days is not easy.

I took on Takamine again this year focusing on the upper level guitars. it is a tough row to hoe but they are making some really cool instruments.

The schector line always intrigued me, from the days when townsend was using them in the early 80's.

hope this is a winner for you!!!!

I asked this before, but probably got lost in the mix .Does Schecter make short scale guitars? If so, I may be in for one if I like the model. Thanks-Jack.

I think 24 3/4" is the shortest option on the imports. I suppose on a custom USA it could be done shorter. Take a peek at schecterguitars.com. And thanks for the well-wishes y'all. For tomorrow I have Hamer on the brain. Talladega due to arrive!

Me too. The first new bass I ever bought was a Schecter "Strategy" bass (somehow it was supposed to be some sort of import line or something like that) and one of the reasons that I bought it was because I idolized Pete Townsend and knew he played Schecter (at least at the time...I think the Eminence Front video was their most current video at the time).

The bass was soooooooooooo freakin' heavy that I still feel aches in my left shoulder. :D
