Tally-Ho Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 Dead mint Amberburst Talladega....not a mark on it, no play wear. Finest instrument I have ever owned...failed to bond with the V-neck. Check out the super flame and date of production. $2K Shipped & Insured CONUS. Paypal add $60. I am a 100% Ebayer, 84gtpete Next stop - Ebay...but I am not in any hurry...I don't plan to list it for a couple of weeks. I already have seller's remorse... Geeesh!
Tally-Ho Posted January 29, 2008 Author Posted January 29, 2008 Here are some more pictures.... I took some photos with the flash suppressed to show the wood grain...the entire guitar is typical Hamer super gloss finish.
BubbaVO Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 The burst is understated - very nice look. I love the back. I wish I all my guits could have a V-neck. I'm tempted to to go to warmouth and see if they have a similar V-neck I can bolt on to my Centaura. Just because I'm mischievous, would you consider a luthier sand down the "point" of the V to produce more of a C shape? Then have the neck refinished - shoot some folks like the neck to be stripped of the laquer anyway. I wonder if Hamer would do it? Then you'd have a custom instrument. I wonder how much that would cost?
Tally-Ho Posted January 29, 2008 Author Posted January 29, 2008 Actually, I thought about custom ordering a twin of this guitar with my favorite LP neck carve...modding this one would leave a "C" with small shoulders...I cringe at the thought!
santellavision Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 That didn't take long. It was a beauty!
silentman Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 Lasted longer than I thought it would. Congrats.
