SOLD - '95 Special FM - Custom Color

Lotsa purty pictures that do not do justice to the color and flame of this guitar. We simply could not catch that "violet/purple/grape/whatever u wanna call it" color or flame. The fact is that its a custom color and is an absolute stunner. Body top, body back, and back of neck are all the same transparent color. It was shipped to the Hamer Shop in CT for a refin in '05 to correct Hameritis and Pizza Day issues. The orig color was violet and it was refind to the same violet color. Documentation on refin included. Hamer also saw fit to put in a new nut at that time.

The guitar is gorgeous and in the most excellent condition possible. Sometimes they don't even come out of the box from the factory this nice. ser#542xxx The neck profile is the usual '95-'96 profile neck... medium. Right between Hamer's current Vintage neck & Modern neck. Not a pencil, not a ball bat. Hamer case included.

Good god how I hate to ship/receive anything. Enough cracked guitar necks & bent amp chassis to leave a permanent aftertaste. My zipcode is 60540, perhaps we can hookup. If not its $875 shipped CONUS. Pay by USPS MO only.

Hang this one on your wall right next to your 59 Burst "any model". The color frequencies of the violet will take the bloch of mustard out of the 59 Burp.

What?

I don't know, just go with it.

Ok I'm kind of interested in this guitar. Is it really as dark as it looks in your pictures? can you take any shots showing the figure of the top? How are the frets? Thanks,

Is it really as dark as it looks in your pictures? I would say that its not as dark as it looks in the hi quality shots, but its darker than the lo quality shots (the lo quality shots got compressed too much and thus they suck). Its looks vastly different on different monitors. ymmv. The "in person" color is closer to the hi qualiity shots. The shots of the back of the guitar might appear black on your screen. Its not even close to black. Its purple, and matches the top.

can you take any shots showing the figure of the top? obviously not because they wouldn't help. The photos prove that i am "photographically challenged". Yep, thats the edge of my finger on the left of the first outdoors jpg. IMHO, the flame on all Hamers that I have seen is as good as you might pay for the "higher grade flame" option that some other companies might charge. This specimen is on par with the best I have seen from Hamer.

How are the frets ? They look almost unplayed. Down around the 5th thru 9th frets there is a small amount of visible wear under the E,A,D strings, but not anywhere near enough to warrant a fret dress.

Thanks again Chris
