kizanski Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 Yes, I was thinking the same thing the other night: "Wow! A new method of MoJo acquisition."
santellavision Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 That's funny!I remember a Corvette show I went to where this guy (from Texas of course) had a '63 with a bullet hole in the fender where some chicks husband came home as the guy was leavin' in a hurry. He left the hole as character!
cmatthes Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 The most "creative" part of that auction is the claim that the guitar listed for $4,000 back then. Hell, even after the steady price increases over the last 5 years, it is just now listing at $3,300...
Submariner85 Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 Am I seeing things or does it look like the neck is separating from the body?
Mindseyes Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 Am I seeing things or does it look like the neck is separating from the body?It does look kinda funky at the joint, but to me it looks like hamerits(sp?)
Eric Weston Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 That's AWESOME......I need a bullet hole in mine!!!! Oh yeah....if anyone wants to give me $4K for it (with or without firearm abuse) I'm IN !!!! ( I'll buy 4 or 5 more just like it )

veatch Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Yet another Hamer Custom Shop. The Bullet Proof Studio. Solid Kevlar body with a flame maple top! NOW we're talkin' sustain baby! LOL! Judging by where the "bullet" hit and where it would have hit, if that were my guitar, i NEVER would have sold it... I would be in its debt forever...
kizanski Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Judging by where the "bullet" hit and where it would have hit, if that were my guitar, i NEVER would have sold it... I would be in its debt forever...I have never been attached to inanimate objects, but that's an excellent point.
kanegon Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 i've only watched CSI a few times, but that doesn't look anything like a bullet hole. if there's no exit "wound", is the slug underneath the bezel screw? is the bezel screwed into the lead slug? c'mon, what are the chances that the shooter stood point blank and took a perfectly perpendicular shot at the guitar? (as opposed to the guitarist...) looks more like home repair gone bad around a stripped screw. maybe he tried filling it with bondo!
