atquinn Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 Has anyone around here played one of these yet? I'm wondering what the neck shape is like.-Austin
cmatthes Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 Those guys are batting 1000 with Editor's Picks, eh?
atquinn Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 Those guys are batting 1000 with Editor's Picks, eh? They must have some incriminating photos they slip into the case under the guitars they send over -Austin
sw686blue Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 If they offer that guitar with a 24.75" scale, which they can and should, I'd want one so bad!
Guest pirateflynn Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 If they offer that guitar with a 24.75" scale, which they can and should, I'd want one so bad! That would perk my interest, too.Does anybody have a picture?
kurtsstuff Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 I have one in the shop.....Who wants it!!! Looks like a scratch or something on the top but..no scratch or imperfection there at all My camera is cheap and so am I...
cmatthes Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 You giving it away? If so, by all means, I'll take it!
sw686blue Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 I can't see pix because they're blocking photos from photobucket. What color is it?
veatch Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 I have one in the shop.....Who wants it!!! Looks like a scratch or something on the top but..no scratch or imperfection there at all My camera is cheap and so am I... Gorgeous! How is the neck? I didn't care much for the hard-V on the original tally, but i could probably get used to it... I think the early write-up i read said the pro would have a softer V neck? What's the thickness and carve? Tanx.
BLuesBuster Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 ... I didn't care much for the hard-V on the original tally, but i could probably get used to it... That V-neck feels like a curse. That's why I've kept away from the Tally, even if I find it absolutely amazing from all other angles.
Steve Haynie Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 The V shaped neck is something that could find its way into a rotation that keeps things from getting stale. Maybe I tried a soft V shape on the Talladega I tried, but it was not distracting at all.
kurtsstuff Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 Very soft V...Gimme a call....925-829-2170
Travis Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 The V shape was the one thing I was unsure about when I got my Tally. I lucked out because it is so comfortable that I'm going to have a hard time getting another guitar without the V carve. In fact, I was a little disappointed when I read that the Talladega Pro was going to have a soft V as opposed to the regular Talladega's "sharp" V profile.
atquinn Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 What's the deal with the amber switch tip. Are they using a tip that's the same size as the unusually-sized black one they normally use or is the entire switch different?-Austin
