sw686blue Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 The seller doesn't deserve that kind of money simply for the fact that he left the ball end of the strings on the tuning posts.

With a young daughter running around and messing with my guitars, I've seen the advantage of stringing my Floyded guitars that way. No sharp string ends to poke tender fingers or other body parts. -Austin

kurtsstuff Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Over time though...stringing the guitars that way really chews up the hole on the post but the more important thing is I SELL MY CRAP WAY TOO CHEAP!!!!! Oh wait but.....I actually sell mine so...Nevermind

Devnor Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Please someone buy these guitars at that price. Thanks
veatch Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 Please someone buy these guitars at that price. Thanks +1 I've always said, a guitar is worth what someone is willing to pay. I *love* the flame maple Cali, well, as much as a grown man can love an object made of wood and metal...

OK. I think the asking prices are too high, but they do have that "best offer" option.Dear God when you're starting in used Virtuoso money territory, I'd be afraid to submit a best offer for fear of insulting the seller w/ something so far removed from their opening bid. I guess if somebody out there feels their life is meaningless without a Hamer USA Californian in their guitar collection, they just might go for the gusto? I still can't believe the green 96' Cali Elite that sold on ebay a couple weeks ago went for $1750 in this slow economy, so I guess you never know what might happen on ebay if you hook the right buyer.
simon074 Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 That was me that bought the 96 Elite Cali. I've been meaning to put some pictures up and ask some questions about it. The neck is about as thick as a Les Paul. Any way, I've always wanted a Cali since the 80's. Now I'm old enough to afford one before I get into a walker. I'm just doing my part to keep the economy going.
