sonic1974 Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=110375265715I don't get it? Is that you 'flynne? PS, love your signature: uselless without x-rays! ha aha.
Guest pirateflynn Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 Haha!I'm trying to satisfy my Les Paul lust. On my list:Grosh Set NeckPRS SC 245Heritage 150Hamer Elite (Maybe a Tally Pro if they make a shorter scale version and mahogany neck!)... it never ends. lol
atquinn Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 Actually, the Tally Pro has a mahogany neck. I love the lines on those Grosh set necks, but I've never seen one sufficiently pimped-out for my tastes -Austin
Guest pirateflynn Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 That is a sweet PRS- Are you going for this one? My bid is modest for a guitar this cool, but I'm in. I would say that the Grosh is at the top of my list. Any opinions?

Located in Ottawa, just like me:http://www.spacemanmusic.com/Guitars/Elect...l+Standard+1983I can vouch that the ownwers are straight shooters, and will I would imagine ship to the states. I have tried it out, and it is awesome! HUGE, but comfy neck on it. Bit beat up, but plays/sounds amazing.

Yeah, those Grosh Set Necks! sonic, I think I'm going for a LP inspired guitar rather than an actual LP!

Yeah, those Grosh Set Necks! sonic, I think I'm going for a LP inspired guitar rather than an actual LP! Cool. Yeah, I know what you mean. I kinda forgot about Gibsons once I got my Hamer. Just happened to be trying out a Marshall, and I wanted to try it with a humbucker equipped guitar. I will stick with the Hamers. But older Gibsons are still cool in my opinion. There's a Gibson with nylon strings from '67 at that same store. Price is $700 Canadian. Coolest is a Washburn parlour guitar with brazilian back and sides. I want it! $1000. Have you tried a Grolsh? What about a Collings electric? With such rave reviews for his acoustics, I can only imagine his electrics are awesome. I've seen them for the $3000 range, don't know about the second hand market. rob
edgar_allan_poe Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 Have you tried a Grolsh? Several times...I love that beer.

cmatthes Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 sonic, I think I'm going for a LP inspired guitar rather than an actual LP! I've heard amazing (if not unbelievable!) things about those Gustavsson Bluesmasters... ...they're supposedly the second coming of the '59 'Burst.:D:D

Sam Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 I can't stand PRS's That's a shame - there are some nice ones out there. I've become particularly fond of this one since replacing the original #7 pups. PF, you might find my SC comparison pic to be of use.

bubs_42 Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 I've played enough of the PRS and they are nice guitars. But after playing the Monaco for a couple of day the lust for one is gone. I've heard so many good things about the Grosh guitars that that would be my second choice Mr. Flynn. But the PRS's play very well. Definetly going to have to go with Sam and say a Pickup swap is going to have to be a must. Good luck ! Um, a short scale Tally, that sounds damn cool.
Mindseyes Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 Nice looking SC! This one fills the LP void in my life

Sam Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 Was just looking through my ebay archive when I came across a couple of pics from mid 2008. Thought I remembered that top...
bubs_42 Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 Realy, who needs four knobs anyway's? Great top on that one. I'm glad I went with Transblack it was a part from the More traditional bursts.
Guest pirateflynn Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 Dude, if I could just buy that Dark Burst Set Neck I would call it a day!
