bubs_42 Posted June 12, 2009 Author Posted June 12, 2009 Cool to see a trem on an Artist - that's a first!Thats what I was thinking. Its chambered then has the back cut out. It had me chomping at the bit.
DavidE Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 Dayum that's suhweet!!!! Well worth the BIN price and it would cost WAY more than $3k to get that reproduced with an ultimate grade top, trem, brazzy board etc....
atquinn Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 ...it would cost WAY more than $3k to get that reproduced with an ultimate grade top, trem, brazzy board etc....Yeah, I spec'd it out when I first saw the auction and I think it would be around $3500 before the trem. -Austin
sw686blue Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 Anyone want to buy a Studio Custom? -Austin Hmmm...do you wanna do 50-50 on the custom-ordered Artist? A picture is worth a 1000 words...
bubs_42 Posted June 16, 2009 Author Posted June 16, 2009 So did the seller get cold feet or did you end up with that badboy!
Feynman Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 Anyone want to buy a Studio Custom? -Austin You got it for less than the opening bid, didntja, back door man? Hmmm...? Hmmmmm?

Guest pirateflynn Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 I've never liked the look of the Wilkinson bridge. The uneven bottom edge looks sloppy.
Feynman Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 That thing is sweet. It's almost like someone custom ordered it just for Austin, so I'm hoping 'twas his good day...
nosajwp Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 Would make a nice replacement for the chambered Studio he has...
atquinn Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 Anyone want to buy a Studio Custom? -Austin You got it for less than the opening bid, didntja, back door man? Hmmm...? Hmmmmm? Not at all. I didn't even contact the seller (who happens to be Brandon Something-or-Other from Willcutt guitars). My obsessive TGP and eBay surfing finally payed off! He listed the auction on The Gear Page at 1:30pm and said he would also sell it for the opening bid (Paypal'd and shipped) to a TGP'er, so I sent him a PM at 1:31pm. Devnor will back me up on this I've never liked the look of the Wilkinson bridge. The uneven bottom edge looks sloppy. Yeah, they're kind of fugly. They work very nicely though. Plus Gotoh and Mannmade USA make drop-in replacement trems that look much nicer (IMO) and work well. So if it's a keeper, I can always keep an eye out for one of those and replace it at my leisure. Would make a nice replacement for the chambered Studio he has... I also have this on the way, so assuming I keep at least one of the new comers I'll definitely be putting the Korina Studio Custom and something else up for sale. Maybe the chambered Studio Custom, though I do love it so. -Austin
atquinn Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 TCMTCM Glory Custom in somewhat rare HSH configuration. I've been wanting to get one ever since I sold my Monarch. The last one had a familiar Hamer feel, with a little more development in some ergonomic and functional areas. Hopefully this one will feel right at home too.-Austin
Sam Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 Nicely done, Austin. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out.
