yup Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 I putting up a bone nut for a project Vector, I found out that it'll be way easier to have a bridge first The good sustain block it's too expensive, does any one have a cheap beat up one that would like to let it go? Thank you.
cmatthes Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Even if you could find a beat up one, I don't think that it would be much cheaper! There might be some of the top-quality repros out there (made by 2 HFC'ers), but I haven't seen one of those available for a while.
zorrow Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Hey HFC'ers! Yup has been looking for a sustainblock for a while and even if he's quite new here, he looks very serious about it... I remember we advised him not to use a Fender bridge on his project Vector, and I personally appreciate a lot he doesn't want to butcher his guitar. It's a true shame he can't afford a sustainblock at this point. So, can anybody here please lend him a hand? If I had a spare sustainblock I swear I would either give it away to him, or at least offer him a good deal -- low price or several payments. I would actually ask to myself "what would Mitch do?", and I guess we all know the answer...
hamerhead Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 I'll check, but I'm pretty sure mine are gone.
velorush Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 "what would Mitch do?", and I guess we all know the answer... Priceless. I'm shamelessly taking that!
bubs_42 Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Hedberg? "THAT TREE IS FAR AWAY!"... "My Sister wanted to be an Actress...She lives in a trailer, so she is halfway there..." " Why to Kowala Bears have to live so damn far away? " RIP MITCH

yup Posted September 9, 2009 Author Posted September 9, 2009 Thank you everyone for the suport. Zorrow you are the best!!I made a tube amp for this guy, and I was in his houes to get my money, he has many guitars....then I saw this flying v have nothing on it not even a name. The guy doesn't even know what kind of guitar it was, since he got it from someone's garage. He told me that the reason he got the guitar is he can take out the turner and use it on other guitar. I looked at the wood and think to myself that this must be a nice guitar at some point, so I took the guitar as part of the payment. At first I thought it was a Japanese made Matsumoku guitar, since it has three piece neck. Matsumoku made guitars for many different brands, but I have no luck. I thought that the guitar has 2 Vol and 2 Tone, since there's a hole on the bottom of the guitar. I just couldn't find any flying v with 4 controls. One day I saw a new Vector's headstock, the small open book gave me an idea that maybe hamer has made a flying v has bigger open book headstock. It took me a long time to find out it is a Vector, at lest a month or two. I can't wait to hear what this guitar has to say about his soul. Yup
