tommy p Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...ME:B:SS:US:1123no affiliationMy bad - my original post said this was a Standard and several members here quickly corrected me. Please forgive my lack of knowledge, but hey, that's why I'm here.
DaveL Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 Blitz... I'm sorry, but that price is bizarre...
Brooks Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 mick mars!hey tommy, i was in midlothian/richmond a few weeks ago
Steve Haynie Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 That Blitz would be a cool guitar for $1000 less.
zenmindbeginner Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 Calling it a Standard is a sad way to get more money for the guitar. I just busted an eBay member that was selling his "Special" as a Sunburst. He quickly admitted that it was a Special after I asked him where was the body binding? Now the $975 price tag seems fairly high in this economy.$1689 for a black and white zulu Blitz? Is the seller high on airplane glue?
cmatthes Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 Agreed. That seller knows better too. He's had a number of nice vintage Hamers over the years and used to be a lot more reasonable.Lately, all of his stuff is on the high end of the range to flat out overpriced. This is not the first misrepresentation I've seen in recent months, sadly enough. That's a $700-$800 guitar on a good day in 2009.
carfish7 Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 Gee, it seemed like a fair deal at $399 when GC had it hanging out for almost a year - I almost bought it a couple times! I guess a guy can ask whatever he feels is fair the max one might extract from an uninformed impulse buyer. Good luck with that! Z

I agree $700 is nearer it's mark if someone really wanted it.

JC Guitas just had the same guitar for $700 in better shape. It was gone of course when I called. Steve
