Feynman Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 You may recognize Mr. Sokolow from The Guitar Workshop or his many DVDs and books. He's extremely versatile in so many styles and smart about all that theory mumbojumbo, and well known for his superb instructional style. He's my new guitar teacher! I just wanted to share that good news with you fine folks. He's agreed to be my instructor and hopefully get me understanding what to do with an electric guitar. Woo-hoo! (Posted here since I have no real friends to tell these things to.)
gorch Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 What can I say? Happy learning! How about the Newport? Are you happy with it?

velorush Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 ! Love that song, especially when Miles did it!Does this guy live in the Grand Canyon State, or have you arranged some sort of distance learning with him? I'm definitely going to check out some DVDs - he really has a great teaching style.

Feynman Posted April 15, 2011 Author Posted April 15, 2011 He lives in lovely Southern California, but has offered to teach me via Skype. It should work out well, and I can even attend lessons in my underwear now.

Feynman Posted April 15, 2011 Author Posted April 15, 2011 Well yeah, I know that! The problem with driving to lessons in my underwear is the embarrassing police stops, not the lesson attire itself. Now, was the underwear part his idea or yours? Do you get a discount? It was my idea. I plan to surprise him with it.
