FrankieIII Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 Fast forward to 2:10 in for Jeff's solo. Sounds like a Hammond/Wurlitzer organ:
murkat Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 Sounds like a destination rotation cranked all the way up. http://www.option5-online.com/EP-007.html
kizanski Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 He's using the No-One-Is-More-Awesome-Than-I-Am effect, which he keeps in his right and left hands at all times.Only one is known to exist.
tbonesullivan Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 Definitely some kind of rotary speaker simulator. There is one in my effects unit, and you can set the rates for both the woofer and tweeter, etc. very useful.
unfun75 Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 I thought it was the "how awesome is Tal's right boob" effect.BTW, Buddy's tone, solo, and outfit are all horrible in this performance.
JohnnyB Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Sounds like a destination rotation cranked all the way up. http://www.option5-o...com/EP-007.htmlBY "cranked all the way up" you mean "set to maximum speed" you're right. That's why it wasn't easy to identify. Real Leslies from the '60s (our frame of reference for the rotary sound) couldn't spin anywhere near that fast.
atquinn Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Guess there's no point in anyone making a "Buddy Guy shreds" video since it would sound pretty much like that?-Austin
Toadroller Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 BTW, Buddy's tone, solo, and outfit are all horrible in this performance. I like his hat.I have been listening to his "Sweet Tea" of late. "Baby Please Don't Leave Me" is just plum rockin'.
