cynic Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 Same thing as the one you were interested in here, but with LEDS vice boomers.
bambino68 Posted August 31, 2012 Author Posted August 31, 2012 Cynic,You are an amazing person. I forgot about that one.If youre here for the Jam, Ill buy you some drinks!!ThanksId like the Boomers as well...
Jason01 Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 I'm curious if this is a bolt on or a set neck. Neil liked the set necks...
gatorbyte007 Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 This guitar is a bolt on neck. It was built originally for Neil to use for clinics. He never used it. I owned it for a few years. Pickups are not original. I bought it from Jim Allen. When he still was at Hamer.
santellavision Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 Sorry, only 1 stinkin' pic for a $3K guitar?
Studio Custom Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 Sorry, only 1 stinkin' pic for a $3K guitar?Based on the description they obviously want to sell it off eBay to avoid the fees.
cmatthes Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 Cool - I don't think I've never seen a bolt on Hamer with LEDs!
veatch Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 Cool - I don't think I've never seen a bolt on Hamer with LEDs!Yeah - where would you put the battery, or would there be a connector at the neck pocket to provide power?Epically cool guitar, though. I've always loved that graphic.
gatorbyte007 Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 The LEDs are factory. I've seen many with bolt on necks. Remember Kim's black one with the sanded neck . I think Peter owns it now. The battery is in the control cavity and lights come on when you plug the guitar in.
cmatthes Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 That's right - total brain fart...because it's not like I've ever played THAT EXACT GUITAR before! Oh wait...
veatch Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 Anyone have a pic of the neck pocket? Curious how they made the power connection...
rj2858 Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 That's right - total brain fart...because it's not like I've ever played THAT EXACT GUITAR before! Oh wait... Mom really needs to stop dressing you two alike!
Hamer Dave Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Wiring would have to go through somehow. I would think some sort of quick connector? Love the unusual stuff. Like to see photo also. Dave
Jem Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Anyone have a pic of the neck pocket? Curious how they made the power connection... Drill down through the heel and take the wire through where the hole would be for the pickup wires. I'm not sure if they used a connector but if so it probably had three or four inches of wire coming out the neck so the connection could be made in the pickup cavity....well that's what i do anyway.
