Steve Haynie Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 "Wipe it up, man!" Now that is one way to introduce a guitar solo.
diablo175 Posted April 2, 2014 Author Posted April 2, 2014 Love it. I've only heard two full tracks but Pussywhipped is a nice, crunchy rocker. Glory Hole is a chugging, boogie rocker. Good sh*t!
diablo175 Posted April 2, 2014 Author Posted April 2, 2014 I've listened to the entire album and I gotta say there wasn't a dud in the bunch. Gotta love a band that can take immature, low brow topics and set them to hooky, catchy rockers and throw in some seriously tasty and occasionally, eye-brow raising solos.
cmatthes Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 I got my free download yesterday - the CD and other fun stuff is supposed to ship on Monday.I'll see them for the third time in May. They never disappoint.

cynic Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 I'll see them this weekend. They're having their "CD release party" at the LA KISS home opener. My seats are right next to the end-zone stage where they'll be playing.I've read they're playing before the game, during the game, and at halftime. In total I'm guess we'll get maybe 30 minutes of music.
Stike Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 I loved the debut but I wasn't digging the last album to much. I hope I like this one better.
Crimsontider Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 The singer. maybe the guitarist were (?) in the awesome VH cover band The Atomic Punks. This guy in SP is better than most 80's 90's metal singers. My all time favorite comedic metal song.

I thought Balls Out had some stronger stuff than Feel the Steel...Feel the Steel had a couple of misses IMO- Eyes of a Panther really doesn't seem to stand up/fit with the rest of the tracks.

Having Dane Cook open the album was a bit of a turn off too not to mention the Chad Kroeger participation.
diablo175 Posted April 3, 2014 Author Posted April 3, 2014 Egads, didn't realize Chad Kroeger was on there. Well, it could only have helped his appeal with those outside of the Bro-Rock crowd. Musically, I just thought it was stronger. Lyrically, well... how can you seriously critique that kind of humor?
zorrow Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Got my copy, the ltd one. Great musicians, but that's secondary here. I just laughed my ass off while driving from home to the subway station. Lyrics do matter!
