[SOLD] FS 1994 Hamer USA T-51

I've put it off as long as I can, but financial reality means I need to part with my '94 T-51. PO replaced the neck pickup with a Rio Grande, may have also replaced the factory guard. Other than that, and an aftermarket molded hardshell, the guitar is original, including the factory Wilkinson bridge, SD Broadcaster and locking Sperzels. Condition is excellent - basically zero fretwear, only a couple of minor dings to complain about anywhere, and has basically been a closet / studio queen, especially in my time with it. I should note that, strangely, the truss rod nut has a little bit of visible oxidation at the top, possibly from living with me in Florida for a time, but the rod and nut both work 100% as expected.

If you like Hamers and you like Teles, you will love this. It's not only the best T-51 I've owned (yes, I've owned several!), it's the best sounding Tele I've owned hands down.

I'm asking $650 shipped in the lower 48. Need to move this private-sale in a few days or it goes to the evil auction site. Let me know if you have questions.

If I didn't own its twin, I'd be all over this!! GLWTS.

You meant triplet. And likewise! In fact, I think I'll pull it out now. GLWTS. Great guitar at a very fair price.

A Fender Tele made by the company that makes better Gibsons than Gibson. Hamer knows guitars.

Man, if I wasn't already saving for another sweet deal I would be all over this!! Best of luck on your sale!! it cant last, great deal, sweet guitar!!

Great price!

If I had the room, I would snatch it up just for fun.

Post it over on the Heritage Owners Club site. There is probably at least one member that appreciates Hamer Guitars.

I have one already with the piezo option, nice guitar.

Are you still in Florida with the guitar?

Is this your guitar?

Best to you on the sale.

Thanks, everybody, for all the appreciation! My T's definitely a beautiful Tele, and it's certainly got a lot more than looks going for it. In case anyone is wondering about the neck profile, as I've had a few questions about that - it is a more modern neck albeit not what I'd call a shredder neck. 12" radius, a wider nut than usual on traditional Teles, about 0.8-0.85" thick at the first fret (don't quote me on that because I'm just guessing from feel, I will probably get a caliper out later today to make sure I'm right about this). I get the sense that Hamer was out to please everyone with this neck; '52 Tele purists / baseball-bat lovers might not be super into it, but I think *everyone else* would love it, and I know *I* always have.

ptm1diver - Hadn't thought of the Heritage folks, although I'd agree that anyone there is also definitely someone with great taste in lesser-known instruments (I've never picked up an old Heritage that wasn't a killer), so I'll give that a try too. Thanks for the idea.

As far as I know that's not my T-51 in the Youtube video either. It's certainly not me, and now the guitar and I are both in conveniently-centrally-located Oklahoma. I didn't know that Hamer ever made T-51s with the piezo option!

If you ever get the itch for another T-51, that's what ya gotta go for! (Do yerself a favor and add a stacked tone/volume knob for some extra control)

I had one for a few years and it was great, but it wasn't my "fav" T-51, so I sold it in one of my downsizing cycles a couple of years back, figuring i could always add a piezo bridge to my "keeper" T-51.

GLWTS!

I asked about Florida because I'm in South Fl for a few days for the holiday.

Take care and have a great 4th

Color is in the eye of the beholder (I can't tell you how many times my wife and I have argued over whether something is "coral" or just flat out orange), and my garbage point-and-shoot camera / fluorescent lighting could also be misleading, but I don't personally feel there's a green tinge to the black in person. It *is* somewhere between a deep / opaque and just-barely-translucent finish. I've always thought this was the most nicely finished of the three (all black) T-51s I've owned.

Speaking of T-51 polyamory, I love that half of the respondents in this thread already own "enough" T-51s! Surely I shouldn't need to convince y'all of all people that you can never have too many! :)

Great deal! I had a black 85 Phantom and it had a very cool green tinge / fade to it. I am kicking myself for not jumping on this. Heck when it comes down to it color makes zero difference.
