blackfbiv Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 I was offered $1500 for mine way back when I started hanging around here (1990 something)Come to think that was a Japanese inquiry as well...I actually just put the FB bass into my will. My eldest gets it... it's official... lol
mc2 Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 $900. Maybe he means $900 JAPANESE Yen? That would be $7.50 U.S. and would fit into the spirit of the HFC low ballers ...but a bit lower than the standard "three fifty."
unfun75 Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 $900.So he wants the case, shipping, and a photo of the actual bass. But hey, stranger things have happened. $350 bought a Watson if I recall.
Never2Late Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 Fewer than 200 of all FB models, guitars and basses, by my estimation from the records that I have. ......and Nikki Sixx probably owner a quarter of those...and broke many of them...making the FBIV even rarer. How much are you willing to spend for a nice one? Uncle Greg has in his possession a FB bass, given to him by Nikki......yep, the headstock was broken. Was a nice bass otherwise - will be a BCR future-project.

There's a local guy who works/has worked in the shop who has a Nikki Sixx Blitz and owns a FB or two. But his godfather IS Nikki, so there you go (his father is Blackie Lawless).
serial Posted December 25, 2014 Posted December 25, 2014 Different one-the one I was talking about was the polka dot body. That was hanging in the shop for years

BCR Greg Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 Serial was referring to a body that has been gone for 10 years. WHY? No idea. You saw what you saw, Mike.
planetgaffnet Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 This is mine. I swapped out the Chrome hardware for black (Schaller) bridge/machines. Held on to the original hardware of course. How much did I pay? £375.00...somewhere around $550/600. Mwahahaha. P
