Thundersteel Posted February 24, 2023 Posted February 24, 2023 I never really liked the Telecaster; the shape seems odd to me. However, these two have me intrigued. No affiliation. 1. RS Guitarworks "Knot Perfect" $3596 2. Giroux "Mosaic Standard" $1,200
DJL Posted February 24, 2023 Posted February 24, 2023 Those are neat ! I'm in the middle of a Warmoth Tele build , it should sound great when I'm finished . Teles are pretty versatile .... and screamers when you learn their quirks . D.~
Cboss Posted February 24, 2023 Posted February 24, 2023 Wow..#1 is growing on me quickly..that is really beautiful and organic
Jim85IROC Posted February 24, 2023 Posted February 24, 2023 Definitely liking #1. I'm assembling parts for a partscaster with no pickguard. The body I bought has a beautiful flame maple top so I want to show off as much as possible, but I need to figure out what I'm going to do about the front pickup. I'm not super fond of no trim ring, but I don't like how the trim rings look either.
Jeff R Posted February 25, 2023 Posted February 25, 2023 Here's my stable's favorite nixer and mixer ... nitro'ed ash (one piece and featherweight) with deeper 70s'esque belly and arm cuts; and P-90-like custom winds direct mounted into unmodified Tele footprints.
crunchee Posted February 26, 2023 Posted February 26, 2023 I didn't care much for 'trim-ring' Teles either, until I got this one on impulse about two months ago...IMO, the hardware looks good on this particular color. The fact that it's a two-piece ash body didn't hurt, either: https://reverb.com/item/60399407-partscaster-t-style-2013-blueburst
woodpile Posted February 26, 2023 Posted February 26, 2023 This guy makes some interesting looking stuff.
