Curious if anyone has a nice one for sale or trade?  Just started to get an itch And would like to try one….   Avalon custom, artisan custom, something cool.  I have seen some great ones posted here over the years -

That recent thread and a pretty avalon custom on reverb got the juices flowing.

Thanks, Biz Prof.

Must be good, none for sale here -

in all seriousness, a little funky issue w that Avalon custom on reverb.  A couple other avalons are possibilities.  But I know there are some cool Robins around here.  Perhaps nobody’s sellin’…. But if you are thinking about it, LMK if you are, and what you have.  I do love those avalon customs with wrap tails - but am open to something cool.

Thanks

What's the issue with that one?

look at the side of the neck where the body meets it.  Some funky finish stuff going there.  Might be nothing, but owner did not explain it clearly to me other than it seems some sort of "minor" repair.

Id rather have  a wrap, anyway, but if you think I am seeing ghosts, lmk.  To me it looks like some lacquer is going up on the neck binding in an odd way.

It's hard to tell, but if he explains it away as a "minor repair" and won't elaborate further, then I would also suspect a funky issue.

FWIW I am hopefully getting more photos of that area, and the red one looks nice at a much lower price, as does that gold flat top (though I think I'd like the larger neck).  Would still love a "family" purchase here, though - Some USA Robin, most interested in Avalon, but could be convinced otherwise.

I have no idea what you're talking about...

@The Shark never sells anything, so you should jump on it.

As stated above, that Avalon is the 2nd one Dave Wintz made for me and it's a beast.
Crazy flame top, wrapper bridge (of course), double crown inlays, headstock binding, jumbo frets OVER the binding (again, "of course"), and the aforementioned large '58 Gibson-shaped neck with the soft V.

Also, I asked Dave to sign the back of the headstock. I don't know why. I just had always felt that he was one of the more quiet guitar builders I have seen.
He would always let others do the talking while he stood at the CNC machine. Even during factory open house days he would have others do the presentations.
I guess the point I'm trying to make is that I wanted him to sign the headstock as a tip of the hat to him.
So, he signed the back and added "KIZANSKI" under the serial number. I didn't ask for that. He just did it.

I think he added my name as a tip of the hat to me.
He was a great guy.

I might sell the second Kizanski model that Greg shaped the neck.  But it won't be cheap.  And the neck is full!

I've been watching that "Seafoam Green" Ranger myself, though it looks to be about as Daphne Blue as a guitar can get, but what do I know? On the same site, there's another Ranger for several hundred less. It's a nice-looking Trans Red that appears to be in great shape. Both examples have the non-reverse headstock, which I think looks a lot better, but again, WDIK. The Ranger is super-versatile and the Rio Grande pickups are excellent. You wouldn't go wrong with either one.

Rangers are cool...kudos to Greg P.  He always provided the best pics with new Robin purchases!

I've got this if you're interested in the HPJ (homely plain jane) model. It's got a carved top and fat bastard P90's in it. Plays and sounds just like a real purdy one.

I have a couple of late 80's Medleys for sale:

1. Bolt-on with meaty neck, cool custom finish, has a built-in Nady wireless (can still use the regular jack), Robin licensed floyd rose.

2. Orig pink/fushia finish,  Setneck, big neck on it, Kahler trem.

Email me at [email protected] if you have questions/interest.
