That looks like swimming underwater in root beer.  Love it.

I was at the counter at Rockin Robin when Billy Gibbons walked up with a purchase order for a Robin Artisian, a very nice Japanese-made guitar. The 10 inch radius didn't suit me so I didn't buy a Savoy (spelling?) that was beautiful, with the Barbque bucker that guitar was smoking hot.

The Artisian was essentially an SG with a carved top and was quite affordable. I snagged an Avalon flat top with P-90s on eBay but the neck felt cumbersome, so I traded it in on a Koa-topped Mirage. Bart couldn't sell a  Hamer so he was willing to deal. Traded a Fender solid-state reverb for a set of dual-calibrated strat pickups which are still in it.

Billy had an American Artisan in translucent red.  It was custom built years ago.  Here's my last Robin acquisition before Dave closed the shop.  Fantastic guitar.

Pretty cool.

Gotta say that the Artisan and the earlier-posted wrap Avalon are it, for me.   And that flame top Jr posted in another thread.   I would die happy…

You, all, have some lovely guitars.  I hope they are played and enjoyed!

One more e-type.   I’ve pulled out the Dirty Harry pickup and put a glorious Gravelin in mine.   LOVE the neck on this!

Sounds like a similar spec to the one I put in my old Charvel tele (er, esquire - with the Eldred circuit).  Killer pickup.

That is correct!

You're not that smart.

No, kidding!  It is the Apollo.

I thought we called the V the Gemini and the Explorer shape the Apollo.

Yes, that's correct.  That's what Dave guessed.

I was thinking Jazzmaster

ETA: The ‘blande’ strat above sold. Liked everything about it except the light red pickguard.
