So is this still the consensus on 4 digit Hamer's?    

This one looks inky. I have seen stamped 4 digit serials cross the block for a similar price so is this an extra elevated price?  I guess what I am having a hard time picturing is how these serial numbers co-exist if the "real" 4 digit serials were stamped into the wood.  Are there duplicates or am I just seeing this wrong?

#0109 is from 1978, if I recall correctly.

That serial is 100% stamped/impressed and not inked.
