I believe this is more of a cease and desist model as Gibson was suing the entire planet in 2017.

No.  Once Gibson filed, whatever owner the Hamer name at the time immediately ceased production and shipping of any new Standards and Vectors.

There is no such thing as a “lawsuit” model, but it may have been existing dealer stock or something in a warehouse.

Marketing or not, I won't be surprised if it sells.  The 2017 rebooted models were extremely well made.  If one with a way less clowny burst popped up, I'd take it over a MIK model any day.

Interesting, I had seen this on eBay and I suspect it's a reseller with some of these 2017's, for $329 I'm going to find out!

I have a 2017 Monaco and in some pictures the burst looks almost as bad as that Standard, but in person it's actually pretty nice.  That guitar is one of my most resonant guitars.  It has that bell-like reverby sound up the fretboard like a good strat has.  The flame veneer on it is killer too.

Could be. Or not. Difficult to tell until you get it.

When the 2017 versions shut down, whatever they had left that didn't ship probably went somewhere other than a bandsaw.

Doesn't seem to make sense that they would copy Indonesians though, when you can get a Scepter-ized Vector that says 'USA' on it for $500 with case.

I heard back from the seller, they are made in their factory, so they are copanying the 2017 Indonesian ones.. thank you so much for bringing this to my attention, they are canceling the order

I thought as well, there must have been some left over from 2017 and they didn't go to a band saw, the SN shot got me on this one.. all is well, sooner or later I'll get one of those 2017s, they are very well made
