Posting here because I’d love to avoid eBay if at all possible and help a HFC'er out in the process.

In an effort to downsize, fund a smaller amp and slightly reduce the number of things my wife can nag me about, I’m selling my half-stack, the main piece being my late ‘90s Mesa Dual Rectifier Tremoverb head.

This amp is a classic Dual Rectifier with tremolo and reverb and the precursor to the Road King. I’ve never cracked the chassis to date it, but accompanying literature leads me to believe it’s a ’97 or ’98.

It’s 100 watts and two channels, each with two modes – “clean” is Fender-ey, “blues” is more Vox-ey, “vintage high gain” is Marshall on steroids and “modern high gain” gets the Boogie runk-chunk high gain. The amp also has Boogie’s “channel cloning” feature where you can clone a mode into the other channel should you choose. It has separate tone and reverb controls for each channel, and it will take 6L6s or EL34s in the power section. This amp sounds killer at all volumes and it's substantially more versatile than a run-of-the-mill Dual Rectifier.

It has an assignable effects loop (either channel, both or bypass) with send and mix controls and assignable tremolo with speed and depth controls. Its collection of switches include a “bold/spongy” switch that reduces wattage, and a switch to go between a silicon diode rectifier circuit or the tube rectifier circuit. The reverb circuit is unusually rich compared to other Boogie amps I’ve used.

Here's a link to a Tremoverb manual, which has more details on the modes, the channel cloning feature and what all the knobs and switches do: http://www.mesaboogie.com/manuals/Tremoverb.pdf

This amp is CLEAN. I got it from Cajun Boy, who apparently got it from a curator at the Smithsonian. I can’t find a single hint of wear on this amp anywhere. I also have the original orange hangtags, the inspection card initialed by factory personnel, the Boogie footswitch, the factory vinyl/felt-back slipcover for the head and the factory owner’s packet which includes the factory manual, that era’s Boogie catalog and MSRP list, warranty card stub, service center list, even an unused Boogie bumper sticker Mesa stuck in there.

I haven’t shot pix yet because I haven’t had a day of sunshine down here in over a week.

I will sell this to an HFC’er for exactly what I have in it - $1050 plus shipping and PayPal fee if that’s your preferred payment. The last one on eBay (our own AdmiralB’s T-verb) sold for slightly more than that and I don’t know if Bob's was as clean as this one (I've seen new amps on showroom floors that weren't as clean as this one).

No trades because I need to pay for another amp. I have numerous HFC references and I pack gear to survive wars.
