  1. I almost mentioned the pigeon coops! That was hilarious.
  2. No, I wasn't there but I am certainly interested so I've been looking at some of the reviews and videos being posted. Decent setlist, and really cool opening with Xanadu and having Aimee Mann come out for Time Stand Still. Set 1: Xanadu Limelight Far cry Subdivisions Freewill Bravado (Neil tribute) Caravan La villa strangiato Vital signs Spirit of radio Set 2: 2112 / Temple of syrix Distant Early Warning Red Barchetta Dreamline Natural Science Time Stand Still (with Aimee Mann) Red Sector A YYZ The Garden Tom Sawyer (South Park) Encore: BYTOR and The Snow Dog Working Man Alex also played an Explorer-style guitar which I've never seen before, and Geddy wore a shirt when he played his doubleneck that seems to be a nod to certain other Canadian band that's getting a ton of interest right now. I saw a video of the "drum fill" section of Tom Sawyer and the crowd roared in approval when Anika hit it. I'll be interested in hearing what any of you that actually make it to a show think. An old friend dropped by but he was just working his day job.
  3. Still hits me just like it did in 1982.
  4. This would have to be one of them. My first AC/DC album. When I first saw it, I actually thought it was a live album from both the cover and the shot of Angus on the back. I could practically see the picture moving when I listened to it. The sound was so in your face it was like they were in the room with you.
  5. They were a bucket list band for me when they still had several original or classic era members left, but like so many bands I'm sure the current lineup plays the music competently but they just aren't THE guys, so I no longer have any desire to see them. I only have a few albums, but I love the ones I have. Nature of the Beast is (to me) their best, but I remember when I got Power Play. The first single from it, Enough Is Enough was so hooky I played it over and over incessantly in my room, and not exactly quietly. My dad finally came in one day after hearing it one too many times and said "Enough IS enough!"
  6. Really sorry to see this. I contacted him a time or three to ask for his expert input on some weird thing or another and he always tried to help me out.
  7. Their clothes are way too clean for their sound. 😆
  8. I'm sure you didn't mean it this way but I read that in the exaggerated Jerry Seinfeld voice: Who ARE these people???
  9. I subscribed to Rolling Stone magazine for a long time. In 2010 they did similar "year-end" and "decade-end" lists of best artists, songs, and albums. Out of all the categories I had heard "of" a few of the artists, actually heard ONE of the songs, and owned ZERO of the albums. I realized I had aged out and that's when I quit subscribing. I don't feel like I've missed a thing.
  10. I remember when I first started using Reverb and had to contact them with some question. There was an actual number to call and I talked to a real person. As I recall, the call routing menu was extremely simple. The person I spoke to was friendly, upbeat, really knowledgeable, and wasn't reading from canned scripts. It has gotten worse and worse over the years to the point where when I do still use it, I pray to the ghost of Eddie Van Halen that I don't have any trouble. On a slightly positive note, I got the email below from eBay recently. Apparently they are going after deadbeat bidders who don't pay after they win an item. Starting May 13, 2026, buyers in the US who win auctions on eBay will no longer see an option to cancel orders. Why we’re making this change Auctions on eBay work best when winning bidders follow through and pay. You have told us that canceled bids disrupt your sale, hurt the item’s value, and create overhead. To better protect you, we’ll be removing the option for buyers to cancel winning bids. What this means for you Fewer cancellation requests US buyers will no longer be able to submit cancellation requests after winning auctions. Auction sales are final While US buyers can still message you directly to request a cancellation, it’s up to you to grant or reject. Our policy states all auction sales are final and fully supports you in declining the request. Protection from negative feedback If the buyer leaves negative feedback due to a declined cancellation, you can request its removal through Seller Help within 90 days of the sale. FAQs What should I say if a buyer is confused about why they can’t cancel? You can let them know that this is an eBay policy. Once an auction ends and they’ve won, cancellations are disabled and the order is considered final. If they have concerns or questions about the policy itself, they should contact eBay directly. Learn more about eBay’s policies. What if the buyer sends me a message to request cancellation? Per eBay’s User Agreement, auctions are considered binding and buyers aren’t allowed to cancel an order themselves after winning an auction. If a buyer messages you to cancel an auction order on their behalf, you will not be required to do so, however you can choose to if you prefer. Which of my orders are covered by the new cancellation policy? All orders resulting from auctions where the transaction takes place on the US site are covered by the new policy. Does this cancellation policy change apply to eBay Live? No, currently this updated cancellation policy only applies to transactions resulting from auctions on our core US marketplace.
  11. Holy frijoles! If I could still play, I would be seriously interested in one or both of those! I'm going through the same thing. After spending a lifetime buying, selling, trading up, need that color, that one plays great, I always wanted one of those as a kid, etc. I had a great collection, perfect for me. Then physical/health events robbed me of my playing ability. I've let 3 of my 25ish collection go and I have 5 on Reverb right now but it's going to get harder and harder because after those every guitar I have left brings back a lot of memories and has more meaning to me. I will add this: after I let those first 3 go, I did not REALLY miss them and in my past whenever I've sold something usually I look back a few weeks or months later and wonder why I didn't do it sooner.
  12. I saw a video of Phil X (I think) ripping the hell out of some Eddie song and he got every tiny bit perfect. When the solo came around he played Eddie's solo perfectly but then looped the solo section and played his own Eddie-style solo right behind it and something just felt...off. It was like AI or a copy of a copy of a copy. He's a great player and one of the best I've seen at copying Eddie, but there was only one Eddie.
  13. Well, I managed to get to about 2 minutes in. He's great, and I like it when a shredder looks like he's having fun, but a little of that goes a long way with me.
  14. Thanks for the tips! I've been using eBay or Reverb shipping labels and they always show how much they are discounted, and I always though it was a good deal and I couldn't do any better. I have occasionally used Pirate Ship and didn't notice any difference. I didn't even know PayPal offered shipping.
  15. I think mine is still in the case with my Zandard. I'd sure take $125 for it but I kind of thought it would be cool to sell it WITH the Zandard (whose time with me is coming to an end. I'm 20 months post-stroke and it doesn't look like I'm going to regain my ability to play.)
