  2. Yeah it appears your choices are: Buy three sets of strings for $33 Buy six sets of strings for $66 Buy six sets and two 1/4 cables for $40.
  3. Thanks for this. I'm due for some new strings and these are my strings of choice, can always use another cable. Good score!
  4. Today
  5. When you are the OP of a thread you can delete it yourself. In the upper right, just above your initial post there should be a "Moderation Actions" link. If you click it, the choice to Delete pops up. Click Delete and the double-post goes away.
  6. Ugh, another accidental double posting πŸ™„

  8. I had this happen, but only with "watched" items, never for having added something to my cart. But, yeah I figure it's a tool for prospective sellers to review leads (that buyers supplied themselves by watching the item), then offer discounts to the leads he chooses, either a blanket 5-10% to sent to all watchers, or excluding those with poor feedback, etc...
  9. Watched this last night. It was pretty interesting, especially the noise floor comparison. [HEY! IT APPEARS THE PREVIEW DISPLAY IS BACK ON SHARED YOUTUBE LINKS! HOORAY!] I didn't even know Positive Grid made an interface and was excited at another possibility, but when he demoed it, I saw that it had the same feature as the Spark Amp I find so desperately aggravating - the noise gate. Also presented grounding issues. Go figure. Pretty settled at this point on the iRig HD X. I'll probably be ordering that today unless someone has a better idea.
  10. ATB are about 20 minutes from me - I might go and have a sniff around it...
  11. I just picked up a couple of these sets, besides being a pretty good deal on these strings, (<$7/set), they throw in a 10' D'Addario 1/4" cable. https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/NYXL10463P10--daddario-nyxl1046-nyxl-nickel-wound-electric-guitar-strings-with-10-foot-instrument-cable-010-046-regular-light-3-pack Free shipping in CONUS, too. 😎
  12. Or just use another neck... but it's a 21 fretter 🀣
  13. Right. Won’t take much to fill in the missing wood. An NFT OFR would kick ass with locking tuners.
  14. Yep, that's actually the direction I'm thinking, or maybe a non-fine tuner Floyd?.. Actually, I just need a piece of matching rosewood to make a nut slot
  15. Maybe then a Brass Factory bridge, and one of those doohickeys that convert an OFR nut shelf to a standard nut?
  16. I dunno πŸ˜• that's part of my problem, I kinda wanna keep it era specific stock form and also Floyd Rose trems don't play very nicely with 2 3/16th heel width... decisions, decisions πŸ€”
  17. A candy red or Pelham blue would look good with that binding. Are you going to use one of those locking nut replacements? Or, just install a standard OFR?
  18. RIP Jay, you will be missed!
  19. I've had this old 78-80 Charvel made DiMarzio stamped Star and strathead neck that I've been wanting to put together but can't decide a proper era correct finish that would pay proper homage to his legacy
  20. No, that's a real tire with tread on the sidewall... lots of 4x4s use them... this photo is from the Kenda website
  21. That actually seems like a reasonable price. Just $1K more than the perennially for sale Whitford Eclipse.
  22. So is it is, or is it ain't, an AI dream to put tread on the sidewalls?
  23. I would have sent the Newport back just for spite and told the shove it.
  24. Dave Wintz is smiling in Heaven. I know it.
  25. Not cool. RIP, brother ...
  26. I know I misspelled it but I did my best to phonetically pronounce what Pepper said. There is a lot to look at besides that but it starts at 13:20. I've met Pepper a few times and he's just the most congenial, mud on his hands guy you could meet. So I watch for videos with him to pop up. I was just cruising through and then he mentioned the pickups from Jeff R. I remember Jeff posting something about working with Pepper on a pickup so I was like, "Gotta Share!!." as I do.
