  1. Past hour
  2. I just picked up a couple of these sets, besides being a pretty good deal on these strings, (<$7/set), they throw in a 10' D'Addario 1/4" cable. https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/NYXL10463P10--daddario-nyxl1046-nyxl-nickel-wound-electric-guitar-strings-with-10-foot-instrument-cable-010-046-regular-light-3-pack Free shipping in CONUS, too. 😎
  3. Today
  4. Or just use another neck... but it's a 21 fretter 🀣
  5. Right. Won’t take much to fill in the missing wood. An NFT OFR would kick ass with locking tuners.
  6. Yep, that's actually the direction I'm thinking, or maybe a non-fine tuner Floyd?.. Actually, I just need a piece of matching rosewood to make a nut slot
  7. Maybe then a Brass Factory bridge, and one of those doohickeys that convert an OFR nut shelf to a standard nut?
  8. I dunno πŸ˜• that's part of my problem, I kinda wanna keep it era specific stock form and also Floyd Rose trems don't play very nicely with 2 3/16th heel width... decisions, decisions πŸ€”
  9. A candy red or Pelham blue would look good with that binding. Are you going to use one of those locking nut replacements? Or, just install a standard OFR?
  10. RIP Jay, you will be missed!
  11. I've had this old 78-80 Charvel made DiMarzio stamped Star and strathead neck that I've been wanting to put together but can't decide a proper era correct finish that would pay proper homage to his legacy
  12. No, that's a real tire with tread on the sidewall... lots of 4x4s use them... this photo is from the Kenda website
  13. That actually seems like a reasonable price. Just $1K more than the perennially for sale Whitford Eclipse.
  14. So is it is, or is it ain't, an AI dream to put tread on the sidewalls?
  15. I would have sent the Newport back just for spite and told the shove it.
  16. Dave Wintz is smiling in Heaven. I know it.
  17. Not cool. RIP, brother ...
  18. I know I misspelled it but I did my best to phonetically pronounce what Pepper said. There is a lot to look at besides that but it starts at 13:20. I've met Pepper a few times and he's just the most congenial, mud on his hands guy you could meet. So I watch for videos with him to pop up. I was just cruising through and then he mentioned the pickups from Jeff R. I remember Jeff posting something about working with Pepper on a pickup so I was like, "Gotta Share!!." as I do.

  19. I've used a couple of versions of the irig and they have always worked well. Could something be better? of course but the iRig has worked well for me.
  20. Yesterday
  21. Nope. Absolutely love my laptop, as a matter of fact, I just loaded tons of music and more than 2TB of movies to watch/listen while on the road/camping BTW, you do realize that you can buy a full size keyboard for that laptop right?... even Bluetooth, and you can lie back & type to your little heart's desire. https://a.co/d/0g7KHYqi
  22. Who else has a brand of car they crash often? New direction?
  23. I and my brother have an unfortunate history with VW's. I love them. I've owned 2 sciroccos. A variety of bugs, both topless and with tops and a Rabbit. 77 version. One carman Ghia for a short time and my brother had a couple of vans and other sundry vw's. But... We wrecked them all. Without fail. Every VW I have ever driven I have had a wreck in. Mostly not my fault. Not all most 80%. I finally decided that as much as I love them THEY don't love me and haven't driven one in 40 years. Only one minor fender bender since then.... You can make of this what you will... Hahahahhahahhahhhaaa
  24. Welcome to the HFC! πŸ˜€
  25. I showed the video to my Ex-wife because she's a hard-hearted-bitch and she started tearing up. This was a cold-hearted experiment I conjured up. And this proves that AI knows how to tug on our heartstrings. And that is scary. I'm a sympathy cryer and she and I have so much to be sad about. So we did. That is scary.
  26. Another Eddie/Wayne creation if I’m not mistaken. St Paul Civic Center 1982
  27. I would wager it is not to far from the truth as I have read similar accounts over the years. To me this was one of Eddies contributions to rock guitar. The man was, well, The Man. πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘β€οΈπŸ
