  2. V is cool, but it’s probably an even rarer bird to find. So realistically speaking, Explorer shape Scepter
  3. I think it’s possible to get approximate dimensions from photos.
  4. Fralin Strat Set $180.00 Shipped Gravelin Strat Set $180.00 Shipped Fralin Hum Cancelling -5% Black cover Dog Ear Bridge $145.00
  5. Since I haven't met you, can't render an opinion. My question - do they all get played? If not, I'll help.
  6. Are you looking for a Scepter V or Standard/Explorer shape type?
  7. Today
  8. You still need one for a luthier to copy. Just wait. A Scepter will pop up.
  9. Does anyone know how many Scepters were made? I’d like to get one, but they almost never pop up. If only about 50 of them were made, the chance of getting one in good shape for a reasonable price seems close to zero. Maybe I should just order a replica from a luthier.
  10. Since we're celebrating Ultimate tops, this 2004 in Brown Sugar found a new home this week. Someone scored a gem a few days ago, and I hope it was an HFCer! Custom Order Studio Custom with Ultimate flame on Korina (!), ebony board, an extra Victory and headstock binding. Sold for $2300 at a shop in NC before I could post a PSA. Who got it? I wanna call dibs!
  11. Given Blackmore's legendary ego, I think it's awesome he got up there. He seemed to be quite aware that he wasn't going to blow anyone away. Good on him to give Ian GIllan a call and just getting up there, and good on Ian for making it happen. I'm not even a huge Deep Purple fan, but they are one of the Big Three of heavy music to me. That's a helluva legacy. I guess what I'm saying is that most of us picked up an instrument joined an ensemble of some type because it's fun to make a thing with friends, especially when it turns out that thing is really good. Good reminder that most of the "bullshit" that gets between us over the years really isn't all that important in most cases and that it's kind of dumb going to grave never trying to get a little bit of that original joy back if it's just a phone call away. And I think one of the benefits of being our age on this board is that we can watch that and get it, whereas when I was 20, I probably wouldn't have. Now I should probably go give my Mom a phone call, haha.
  12. And don’t give ne the Knights of Ni-joke… 😎
  13. "Odd" is one word for it. I can think of a few others.
  14. Alright, alright.... let's not get hasty here.
  15. And, upon my death, you'll get the Baker back. That doesn't erase my "dickness" in your eyes? I can change the will...
  16. Like it and yeah, guard is odd, isnt it
  17. R-Type at Dave's. I used to own this one and it's badass. Great player, lightweight. If you can stand the ill-fitting pickguard, it's worth the money.
  18. Maybe this is closer to what you were thinking.
  19. Can confirm. He bought all of my guitars without haggling or asking any questions, and then he KEPT them!
  20. Give it a week, someone will relist it for $4K+ and list it as celebrity owned/played.
  21. Notice that he kept is his guitar pick.
  22. Ritchie, one of my guitar hero's. Only got to see him 1x on the perfect strangers tour, but boy did he blow me away. Special moment, thanks for sharing the clip
  23. Someone scored big time. Bummer Shakira wasn't included.
