  2. Funny you should mention that. Was musing over why I jettisoned all of my previous LE's and Cali's (save for the C3). I love almost everything thing about them. I'm looking at you, Mr. blade switch. But after a nice, long wank on this one, I'm reasonably certain it's the board radius. I just get on better with flatter radii. Particularly, when I venture up into the weedily-weedily region of the 17th-24th frets. That said, I think it's fair to say that this LE and the HA won't be around for very long.

  7. If you ever want to move the purple le, please let me know. : )
  8. That's what I use "saved" for.. it used to be called "favorites" and I still get discount offers... I hate putting things in my cart because I might accidentally check out and buy it 🤣
  9. I've placed items in my cart a few times when I'm shopping for similar things. It's a convenient "save for later reference" feature. I've often received discount offers from sellers of items I've placed in my cart.
  10. He was awesome, wish I would have seen perform.

  12. The letterboxed serial number suggests a refin. Most of these Miller instruments I've seen have their bronze finish oxidized to a green tint.
  13. I saw Johnny Winter many years ago when he played in an Upstate NY gin mill noted for bringing in national acts. No glitz. Just a grimey, perfact bar band playing flat out to beat back The Devil.

  15. reminds me of my tech issue response. it is a ID ten T error. Although I am definitely the one plugging in to that pedal...
  16. He even describes its acoustic voice!
  17. I don't remember him using an echo.
  18. Thanks for translating that... It was very informative šŸ˜ƒšŸ‘Œ
  19. I wanted to make sure people saw it.... Just covering my bases šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø
  20. ChatGPT: The offered Hamer Special is largely in original condition. Two filled drill holes in front of the bridge indicate that a guitar synthesizer pickup was installed at some point in its life. I’m not entirely certain whether the strap buttons are original. Apart from that, everything appears to be original. Technically, the guitar is in excellent condition, although it shows obvious signs of honest playwear. The critical areas around the neck heel and the transition between the neck and headstock are free from any significant finish cracks. The guitar has been professionally set up with a low action, and the frets have been freshly leveled and dressed. The DiMarzio PAF pickups work perfectly and complement the naturally resonant acoustic character of the mahogany construction exceptionally well. The Graphic Series consists of just 113 guitars produced between 1980 and 1982. Each instrument was individually hand-painted by a single artist in either a black-and-white or red-and-white design, making every guitar unique. A red-and-white example was owned by John Lennon shortly before his death and is now part of the John Lennon Museum collection. Many guitars from this series were later modified with Kahler tremolos or similar hardware, so original examples have become increasingly difficult to find. I’m selling this guitar simply because I now almost exclusively play long-scale instruments, and I’m trying not to become a collector. Human beings have a remarkable talent for turning musical instruments into museum exhibits. I’m making a modest attempt to resist that impulse.
  21. I am trying to remember if I saw this post before...Ha!
  22. The return of Ha Cali was announced last week but as I got both it and the Cali Elite LE my wife gave me for the birthday, back from my repair guy today, I thought I'd share them here. The LE was pretty knackered; ridden hard and put away wet... or at least without a proper wipe down or anything resembling basic routine maintenance since 2010? 😬 The Hamer-stamped trem was DOA- pitted and pocked with corrosion. The frets had string indentations and almost needed a tetanus shot to be administered after playing. The finger board had a sizable, undisclosed crack that was repaired at some point but not properly with ebony dust. Lastly, the input jack was t*ts up. Luckily, my go-to guitar repair guy made it tip top again! I even had a good condition, Hamer-stamped Floyd to put on it!!! Woohoo!!! 🄳
  23. I haven't broken out my translation aids to get past the cookies screen, but that is a very good-looking Graphic Special at what seems a reasonable price (given that I haven't yet read the description details). I do note the finish flaws on the top and bottom face edges.
