darc Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 Any guitar that has been "drulled over" no longer qualifies as "new not used". That said, very cool. I don't think I've ever seen a maple board on a standard before.
Stokesdead Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 I am sorry but that maple board looks terrible!~CS
kizanski Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 Not my speed, but it's cool to see that one could have it done if one wanted.I do have to question the mixture of black and gold hardware. It doesn't look right - particularly on blue....and the headstock is facing the wrong way.
darc Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 I do have to question the mixture of black and gold hardware.Yeah, I agree with you there. But personally I think the maple and blue look cool together. Nothing I'd ever buy, mind you, but I like the look.

Devnor Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 I like the blue with the maple neck; I'd love to see the back. But I dont understand the mix/match hardware scheme...also where's the floyd rose retainer bar? 1 piece body? www.hamers.com? Digital delivery? What's this guy on?
Zoner Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 Boy those pics suck! I can't even tell what kind of position markers we have going here, but the maple is pretty cool. The build seems as convoluted as the description, though, with mixed HW and all. Z
Andrew Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 I don't like the look of the phrase 'digital Delivery'.What do you think?Very, very groovy guitar, though.Andrew.http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Hamer-GSTC-Custom-Gu...1QQcmdZViewItem
jerseydrew Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 Yeah I noticed it said this:"Digital delivery only: This is a digital item. Digital delivery information provided by the seller will be made available immediately upon payment."What does that mean? I've been doing ebay for a long time and I've only seen that once. It was for a download for a software program. Last time I checked, you can't download a guitar.

Steve Haynie Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 The maple fretboard makes me think it would be a cool guitar for playing Judas Priest since Glenn Tipton's custom Hamers have maple fretboards.
David B Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 Look at the feedback. A lot of "no longer registered users"
BLuesBuster Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 If it is what I hope it's not, it is a scam."Digital delivery" could mean that you're bidding on a photo of the guitar. That might suck a little bit.The winner gets a picture of the guitar delivered through email. The description clearly states it that way.

The description clearly states it that way. That's probably the case (I didn't read the description 'till now), but where does it clearly state that?I see:Shipping costs: Free - Digital delivery information provided by the seller will be made available immediately upon payment. ...and...Digital delivery only: This is a digital item. Digital delivery information provided by the seller will be made available immediately upon payment. But I also see:You are bidding on a New "not used" Hamer Electric Guitar.I've seen these scams before, but the sellers are usually more careful in their wording. They'll actually say "You are bidding on a photo of..." and are likewise careful not to say things like "You are bidding on a New "not used" Hamer Electric Guitar," as this knucklehead does.It could be an honest mistake. I say this because it's a 10 day auction (unless that was the mistake). Why give three extra days to be found out and have your auction cancelled, just so you can start over again?Usually, the scam auctions are 5 days or less and usually include a Buy It Now price. The jury's out, but I wouldn't touch that auction with a ten foot pole.
93specialfm Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 I've sent the seller a question:"What do you mean by digital delivery - is the auction for a physical guitar or a digital photo?"I'll be curious to see the answer...
gerry Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 I've sent the seller a question:"What do you mean by digital delivery - is the auction for a physical guitar or a digital photo?"I'll be curious to see the answer...it is relisted due to mistake in the description.
Steve Haynie Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 From the auction description: You are bidding on a New "not used" Hamer Electric Guitar. The certificate shows this guitar was completed in April of last year, and we are supposed to believe the guitar was played for only ten minutes?
Steve Haynie Posted July 3, 2007 Posted July 3, 2007 The relisted auction has two bidders. The top bidder has 0 feedback and less than a month on eBay. I believe the photo is real, but I have my doubts about the auction.
Brooks Posted July 3, 2007 Posted July 3, 2007 i saw a similar scam on one of those judge judy shows, they email you a picture. "judy" tore 'em a new one!!!
prototype-fan Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 Now it's on the Chicago Craig's List! http://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/msg/366229260.htmlHmmm...
