I thought the early chapters on how Hamer Guitars all got started was fascinating..............how all the guys got together from playing music to collecting guitars to building guitars............... the book goes into a lot of detail.[And the Photos are top notch!]This is the best guitar book I believe I have had the pleasure of reading.Steve and all the people that put this book together really knocked it out of the park! Hope there is a followup!

Sorry, I've been MIA for a while, Had to work on a project for somebody very special and was on vacation in DC. These are from a couple of weeks ago.

I've still never heard a note from his album, but I soon will on the Podcast, I'm sure. Ace's solo record is pretty good... very dated, yet still very cool.. "I'm in need of love" would be the cut to play, IMHO.

"Revisionist history"?! Hardly. There was a Talladega section. That and some other stuff was cut by the publisher for space. Pretty sure you'll see PLENTY in Vol.2...

my family and i had lunch with frank u when we visited Martin guitars this week. Ariana didn't realize he was there essentially since the beginning. Great convo with one of the big three! Frank has not seen the book yet, and I'm waiting til the book release party September 7th in Olney, md at my store. Blatant plug!

I love the fact that Gene and Paul claimed that they couldn't play some old material because Ace and Peter weren't up to it, then Kiss added "Love Her All I Can" for about five shows before dropping it. Ace played it - and a lot of other old Kiss stuff that Kiss won't play - on the Anomaly tour. Gene so wants for fans to be as sick of Ace as he seems to be, and he can't stand it that Ace is so beloved.

Some guy named Paul H. should buy the company including the building in New Hartford. Hire the entire crew. Give Jackass a monthly "free snatch" pass. Hire a guy named Dantzig to run it on the strict orders not to piss off dealers and customers, & to allow every custom order request made. The company shall be not for profit, with generous donations by otherwise useless wealthy guitar playing wannabe's. All HFC Members get an extra discount on any custom order they make. All HFC members that buy a custom order get a Christmas card from the crew, making vulgar gestures and comments. Clown Puke will be an optional color again. 5-neck guitars will be available to HFC members. Small checkerboard finishes also.
