  1. I think somebody should order an SS-1 with a sharkfin pick inlay.
  2. I saw that one last month up at the factory getting ready for some final tweaks. Definitely didn't want to spoil the unveiling, but that one is at least 10x cooler than pics show in person. I think Andre will be a very happy shark...
  3. $1,500 is where I'd expect that bass to be priced. If it came with two others.
  4. How about trying a regular Phantom pickguard, but in clear, and "ghost finish" the area under the tenon to blend with the Zulu pattern? Best of all worlds!
  5. Holy crap, that's cool.
  6. Everybody wants what they can't have...
  7. Same here. Not sure why, since I've always "identified" as a LP/Humbucker guy my entire life. I really like the extra snap and clean tones of a Strat/Daytona over pretty much everything else. Still don't like regular ol' Strat bridge pickups though...they squeal like an angry pig to me.
  8. Well... Mine is. Oh Dave, that is so cute that you think that!
  9. Agree with Cary 100%. Music ISN'T a competition, but people make it that way, because everybody thinks their opinion is relevant. Just like religion and politics, but way more polite!
  10. Vegas stand, 2075-2096...featuring one original member.
  11. Jemmie - you sure that wasn't a "Floyd Rose Eleven"?
  12. Well, that's ALWAYS a risk you take here, Ionel!!
  13. They sound even better.
  14. You're not kidding! I was halfway tempted to move this over to the "Booties" thread, based on the backside of that guitar...
  15. Hard rawkin' covers...
  16. That one is beyond amazing...
  17. Worth every bit of a four hour drive. Four hours each way!
  18. Maybe both?! I played that guitar (or it's exact in every way identical twin) at Duncan Music a LOT. I had just gotten my Ferrari Red Special (w/Floyd) from Sam Moss Guitars, and somebody told me that there was a Flametop Hamer at Duncan. It was about $100 more than my Special cost me, but they didn't want to trade for another Hamer. Duncan was primarily a band instrument oriented shop that just happened to have a few cool guitars on occasion. I started to scrape my meager beer money savings together to make a play for that Sunburst (or, again, it's twin), but it eventually sold. I remember not digging the trem on that one, and thinking it would be a great candidate for a Kahler or a Floyd down the road.
  19. I believe that exact guitar was at Duncan Music in Winston-Salem back in 1985-86. Pre-Floyd, of course.
