The wife & I drove out to Asheville for the weekend, our pal Hard Hearted Bill had a gig downtown with his new jump blues group Virginia and the Slims. Bill has a fantastic 3 pickup Les Paul that sounded great straight into his Boss Katana. Good times!

I've had this for years, turns any single channel tube amp into a 4 channel RAWK machine; Yesterday I picked this up (basically a stripped down Princeton in an oversized 12" cab); Swapped out a generic Eminence 12" w/ this baby; Sounds KICKARSE! For louder jams w/ bass & drums I have this, which is very marshally played thru my 4x12; Stike, I need to stop by and blast yer amps!

My fave from 13 is Live Forever. When Ozzy comes in singing "Juuuust before you die!" it sounds just like classic Sabs

This. Super Distortion-S is my fave of these type pups. Also like Duncan Lil 59, and even GFS Lil Killer. Didn't like Duncan Hot rails.

Yes, Brad Tommy & Rudy kill it. I've got the board mix for the 2 nights on cd-r. Ozzys vocal sounds better tone wise than the double tracked tarted up final mix, but he hits a buncha clams.

Yes I know, its the tarted up overdubbed version that I prefer.

Very nice, love a sunburst. I like single sized humbuckers, they have a quasi P90 thing all their own. I actually prefer a DiMarzio Super Distortion-S or even a GFS Lil Killer over the SD Hot Rail (Hot Mess!). YMMV

We are getting to the time in life when all our heros will be passing, which is sad. But the outpouring of love & respect was uplifting. Sabs is my all time fave band. Last time I saw them in 2005 they sucked, and it really bummed me out. Seeing Ozzy straped to that chair like some of the nursing home patients I see at work really bummed me out. He sounded terrible on the clip of War Pigs, I had to turn it off. But I got a lump in my throat during Mama I'm Coming Home, which also sucked but the emotion was palpable. I didn't see everything, I just picked thru clips on youtube for an hour or so the next day. Most sounded a little rough, as real live clips do. I thought AIC & Tool sounded very good. As someone noted earlier, lots of guys were having trouble hitting Ozzys parts, but Lizzy Hale sounded great! I will not be buying any tarted up overdubbed version this xmas, I prefer Speak Of The Devil 😁
