  1. sco & MMW are always at their best together; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VAr8nTePQso i always mention the aristocrats when people say there isn't any good new music. this whole concert is cool, but this tune is my fave;
  2. sabs 1970 (before the paranoid album came out, some of the lyrics are different) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=clySTJtd81c maiden 1981 (i always prefered paul dianno)
  3. not sure how the suhr modern neck feels, never tried one. but for me, it was a big revelation when i went from hamer shredder necks to jackson and ibanez, because of the flatter/wider fingerboard and the jumbo frets. something to consider. edit - charvel too
  4. Have you tried changing it back to 4 high or 2wd by going into reverse when trying to switch? Back in my jeeping dayz this was a trick we would use to unstick the transfer case. yes, that usually works. might be the freezing temperature, gonna try it again mid afternnoon.
  5. We got a little under a foot. did a 24 hr shift yesterday, the ambulance got stuck 3 or 4 times! just had classic rock radio at work, but listened to jay mohr's mohrstories podcast on the extended drive home (my truck is stuck in 4WD low, max speed 30 mph).
  6. same here, kinda (mesa mini rectifier, older mesa vertical 2x12). i use this for gigs and playing at home (photo as it sits in my kitchen). technically, my "practice" amp (that i leave at wizard sleeves HQ) is a randall RG8040 40th annv 1x12 combo, a raspy solidstate metal monster, i've even used it on a few gigs. both it and the mesa 2x12 are loaded w/ my fave spkrs, eminence man-o-war's...
  7. WHY didn't they put a wraparound on the jr???
  8. i went thru an Ibanez phase this year, i'm totally into the shredder necks and cheap price tags. i ended up only keeping the reverse headstock grey one (currently undergoing stike-izing as we speak); on a whim traded the blue ibby for a strat, and picked up a cool charvell desolation (LP style w/ shredder neck & real floyd); prolly the only keepers are the grey ibby and my long suffering duotone.
  9. got this print, now hanging in the livingroom;
  10. are there any factory hardtail daytonas?
  11. i've lost some $$ on almost everything i've ever sold (with the exception of a les paul), because i PRICE TO SELL. also, i look at gig money and equipment buying/selling all as "music transactions", so i could keep selling at a loss and never play another gig again and still die way ahead.
  12. sexy
  13. although my duotone is still the highest quality guitar i own, my fave to play and the one i use most often is actually the cheapest; the grey indonesian Ibby RG on the right. it just plays better (and the floyd stays in tune better than the other floyd). ps - the blue saber is japanese, the brown RG is korean.
  14. aristocrats - culture clash miles davis - lift to scaffold hedgehog & the fox & some various stoner/doom tunes from black betty, unida, bedowyn, terra firma, down, sasquach
  15. he's a whore came up on my ipod yesterday, made me smile
  16. i used this last gig;
  17. mitch is good people. he sent me a bunch of cool classical & flamenco DVD's, and some classical books (back when i had classical students). hey mitch, i see you have that new zoom multi FX; stike got one, i think i like it better than his digitech 1101 (or the axe fx & tonelab units i used to have). and yeah, i hate extra stuff lying around too (but i'm cheap so i don't give it away, i sell or trade).
