RIP Ace Frehley. Because he deserves his own TDC.

Yep. I was born in '66, then at Xmas '76 I got a stereo & three 8 track tapes; Frampton Comes Alive, Best of BTO, and Dressed To Kill. Immediately started air guitaring w/ a tennis racket and begging my folks for a guitar. Kiss was my bridge from comic books to music. Joined Columbia House and got more 8 tracks; Alive!, R&R Over, & Alive II. My brother, my best friend & I would put makeup on, turn on a black light, and air guitar to Kiss until my parents told us to go to bed. Soon got a guitar and moved on to Sabbath, Led Zep, etc but Kiss lit the fuse. Ace was always the coolest guy in Kiss. RIP -
I used to live next town over, Garland (or "Arlen", if you watch King Of The Hill). "Shoe the children, with no shoes on their feet, house the people, living in Mesquite"...

RIP Anthony Jackson, the bassist on many 70s era Al DiMeola records that I love, among others. I saw him w/ Wayne Krantz in 2011, I was in a wheelchair due to my recent motorcycle crash. This is one of my faves - Here's a cool example of his piano like bass tone -

Love Rush, good for them, yada yada... BUT!!! Hard rock vocals just don't work very well w/ old men, and yes I'm including Halford & Dio.

Richie Kotzen. Need I say more?

Saw BEAT (King Crimson spinoff) last night
Brooks replied to polara's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
Tunes from last years BEAT tour are now up on Spotify. I love how Vai adds his own touch, tapping the relentless Fripp part ~55 seconds in on Frame By Frame, and adding a sweet solo at the end of Neal & Jack & Me; -

Callouses, Hand Strength and Years
Brooks replied to BoogieMKIIA's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
For me, it's my back, especially on 3 hour gigs. Compressed disc from lifting patients for ~14 years. The good news is a lighter call volume since I swapped counties in 2018, and only 1 monthly gig is 3 hours, the other 2 or 3 are 2 hours. I'll be 59 in December (!) -
Diablo those are badass
