Why yes you do, sir!

Hey-I got a call this afternoon from somebody letting me know the book is on Amazon's Top Ten Best Sellers' List today. In Performing Arts, Music & Collectibles, but we're in the Top Ten somewhere!!

Signed, stamped, logged in and packed about half of the book orders I have so far-they'll ship in the am on the way to work. The rest will get done tomorrow. I sold out of all of the books I ordered, but will definitely order more if people want them! Thanks to every one for all of the support!

Got in late tonight, but the first of two shipments of the books I ordered came in today. I've got to log them in, number, sign and ship them out to people who were kind enough to order them. I'll be doing another order in a week or two depending on demand. I think these are just about all spoken for (might have a couple still-orders keep rolling in).

I can get em quicker than that!

Amazon is not the way to go with this book from what I understand-the publisher didn't get the books until late Wednesday, so I'd be pissed if someone charged my card before the item even existed. I doubt retailers would even get the book before next week-I'm an hour away and I'm still waiting on the first shipment that went out Thursday!

Don't be fooled by Joe's modesty-he was an integral part of the book and he secured and conducted some absolutely essential interviews and got some of the coolest guitar pics!

So great to hear people are enjoying the book. We did put a lot of work into it. I thought it turned out well, but it's nice to have some confirmation. The next one will let us get in all those things we couldn't work in to this one. I'm really looking forward to working with Joe on a follow-up. Without him, I'd just have a box or two of emails, notes and binders of catalogs collecting dust! So thrilled to have this in tangible form!

No-they edited out a bunch to keep it to a certain length. That's why there'll be a second one!

I got that info from someone yesterday. Lord knows.

If it was through Schiffer ( the publisher), they didn't bill anything that was placed more than 30 days ago as I understand it.

I think that that teaser is just fine...

Oh and one small favor-please refrain from scanning and posting images or pages from the book on the internet (here or otherwise)-the publisher reminded me about copyright issues this week when I mentioned the HFC and the interest from here. Thanks so much for all of the support guys-we really appreciate it. I wish the book could've been another 50-100 pages, I had more than enough stuff in the original that got edited out that I've got to use for Volume II...

If people want to send me a book and cover return shipping, I can sign them. I also had high-quality self-adhesive bookplates printed up that I can send out. They were pricey, so I'd have to ask for a little bit to cover those, but nothing more than a buck or two, I'd imagine with postage.

Mine are shipping today and should be here tomorrow. Cool! If anyone didn't order yet, pm me if you want a signed copy. For those who already ordered-I can get that taken care of for you-the silver lining is that you'll get the book a bit sooner!

The books I'm signing will be done with bookplates. I can send the signed bookplates out to people who can't get to a signing or who ordered them direct.

That won't happen. They can't ship them to me. No worries if you ordered direct from Schiffer-I can get them signed via other avenues.

OK-sold the books I ordered last week. If anybody wants me to order them one that I can sign, email or pm me-I'll be ordering another batch tomorrow. Also have a booksigning coming up that promises to be big fun event with a bunch of HFCers/special guests/jam/etc... Details will be posted here as they develop!

They told me last week that they wouldn't charge until the books were in because they needed to know the weight for shipping. If anyone ordered and if the company lost or didn't process the order, let me know. I'm going to order more in a week or two and can order some for people, sign them and send them out. For anyone who ordered and who gets their books direct, I've got that covered too.

Ha! I ordered ten copies today. The person on the phone said that they'd be here any day now and put me on hold to check two shipments that had just arrived. She didn't get through the second shipment to check- I had to get off of the phone, but I didn't get a follow up call yet, so maybe tomorrow. Or Thursday. Or...?!
