Yep. I recall #s 7 0009, 0012, 0013, 0015 and a few other early '77s. I owned #7 0051 for a while.

I've played Sunburst 0013 I'm fairly certain and have pics. It was at BCR for a while as I recall.

That's original. Same tuners as the Hamer Impact prototypes I bought from Kip Winger.

Prototype body (or new 'Phantom', although I never liked that name). It's a solid, sensible, attractive shape with comfortable bevels, etc. Pick your neck/headstock, but the Special is SO played out by everyone out there making guitars. This would not be a Hamer-branded product, I'd assume, but there'd be some marketing 'sense' to a semi-unique original design. Picture this: A Korina Prototype... Great band!Saw them in '89 in San Diego on the tour between 'Babble' and 'Chemicrazy'. 'Big Decision' off of 'Babble' got me into these guys-they were even better live than on record. Lots of energy.

Any early 80s (or late 70s) doible cream Dimarzio PAF (with the beveled slugs) will be at or pretty dead on spec. They're easy to find-there's one on EBay now for $50. The neck pickus are the tough ones to replace.

Fender's answer to the question nobody was asking. Reissue the Coronado? Methinks their proximity to Mexico has Fender execs making smoke-induced decisions. Coronados, even clean original vintage examples, are still very cheap. Why? Because they were awful!! There's a hipster cult around the Starcaster, but I've never played a decent one and the ones I have were remarkably heavy.
