See post above from a page or so back... Looks like late July/early August is when they'll hit the shelves. I'm going to be doing numbered, signed stuff that's in the works now. If you've already ordered-NO PROBLEM! I'm doing the signature and numbering via bookplates, so they can be easily mailed rather than having everybody ship lots of books all over and back...

Except that Chris didn't do the book. His handsome and charming brother did.

Creating A Hamer: a behind the scenes look
serial replied to HSB0531's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
I knew with administration changes where I was and a job change for my wife that last year wasn't the time to do a custom, but I wanted to do one this Spring/Summer when things calmed down and after taxes. Unfortunately Hamer was shelved about six months too soon for me... -
I got mine. Man-nobody reads my posts lately-it's like I'm typing invisible characters! ;P

Second volume is planned. I'll figure out how to get B & B in there...

I knew some wise ass would answer that! Reason I asked is that if it was 98/99, that'd be my Scepter. -

Serial number. I doubt that's from 1980. Might be their '1980 Reissue'. Two pickup Cadillacs were pretty rare. E'Lites with the full trim package even more so. -

I really like the 81 and earlier stuff. Not a single Dean after that interests me in the slightest. I've owned a few-if you're looking for the V neck-81s had a pronounced V in most examples I've seen. I wouldn't mind picking up an original ML. Here's an 80 Z, an 81 ML Bass and an 80 V. All were nice and clean, but not at the level of a Hamer. -
I know 0098 has the triangle plate-0097 is a V iirc. #0100 is an earlier log date than #0096. The completion dates were all over the palace back then-not often consecutive numbers/dates.

Have a sparkling great day!

That seems to be the best at this time-I'd assume they'll get them first!

Thanks for all of the support! I'm currently working out how to get books signed for those who want that without needing to ship them all over the place many times. Also have book signing event(s) in the works...Stay tuned! Heard from the publisher yesterday late. My advance copy is being sent this week or early next and the bulk order should be at the distributors @6 weeks from now. They're likely taking the slow boat from China (literally), but they're printed for the most part com what I can tell.

Ummm... You know where the answer is...

ABA-Anything But Amazon. We don't even get book sales credit for discounters iirc. Joe shot the publisher an email today. I also came up with what I think is a great way to get books signed without significant mailing expenses-stay tuned!

Creating A Hamer: a behind the scenes look

Northfield and I talked about this today. Steve's Vector is the last one out of Arlington Heights. I believe it's one number after Kevin's Artist. I think there is a pic of the serial number book in Northfield's archives. Pretty smart way to do the 5 neck. I $hit you not...it's in the book! -
You bet yer ass we play 'em. It's kinda depressing that it took me until I was in my 40's to have the kinda disposable income to afford a high quality and/or custom guitar. But when that did happen, I could've ordered any-fucking-thing. I ordered a Hamer. So, thank you, good sir. This... Of all the ones I could have bought - I chose Hamer. I have to admit, playing DavidB's custom FB sealed the deal for me, it played like butter and sounding incredible!!! Now that I cannot order a Hamer, I figured a suitable alternative was ordering one from Jol... It's odd. All this talk of Hamer being dead and buried, but this past Friday I did a little more work on Heid music's Blueburst B-12L. Plus Music Center came in and picked out their woods for 3-4 customs in process. Hmmmm.Bm Anytime you want to take another order, just let me know... I'd order another.

I take the Cmdr. Barry bridge when I go to the Shore. Was there over Memorial Day Weekend, but not sure when I'm headed back-lots o' gigs coming up. Something in Chester? Not the most savory locale...
