  1. I LOVE these guitars and these are great prices. Unfortunately, I've got my $$ tied up into two refurbishings and a planned custom build.
  2. Hamerica-gimme a shout next time you're up this way!
  3. We do shows in Lancaster. Unfortunately, I'm not sure I'll be around that weekend-kids' schedules are nuts. If so, might try to stop out.
  4. Meh. Kind of a yawn, actually. Want to be impressed, take a look at the 'Before' to this little gem on the right... Sorry, that baby-assed crack on that gold Les Paul ain't nothing.
  5. Will have some things to post here shortly about getting things off of the ground along these lines...
  6. I like the quilt with ebony too!
  7. Scarabs used Standard/Blitz cases.
  8. Cost of living is much less than Simsbury!
  9. I know many of us here would support that endeavour.
  10. 600-800 guitars? Unfinished Hamers? I'd guess Fender acoustics (a poor idea from the start).
  11. Feeling the same sadness as everyone here. Company or not, YOU guys are the artists and the reason for Hamer instruments being so amazing.
  12. One of my daughter's classmates just had Adam Lambert play at her house last night for her Sweet Sixteen party. Yep-these guys will play anywhere for the right coin. This party was obscene in its excess to me, but I'm also not a gazillionaire.
  13. The R going over the black edge was on purpose and accentuates the black/maple line. Like fret end nibs.
  14. There are very few big-time bands out there that aren't willing to play private functions. For the right price, of course. I love corporate gigs. We typically pull more per man than we get for the full band at bar gigs and we do fine there. Often have them on weeknights too, but they end early, feed you, give you booze tickets and treat you well.
  15. That's not from the 70s though. Is that the original finish? Never seen an 80s burst like that.
  16. Above is correct. Haven't seen a dot neck Cali get anywhere close to that number ever (new ones in 1994 didn't go for that) and I've been actively in the Hamer market for @20 years. Boomerangs with ebony are considerably more desirable to most, although all Calis are 'overbuilt' for their price point. Fantastic guitars and I hare Floyds.
  17. Left handed are what I have-they're for the right side of the headstock (reverse heads).
  18. If anyone needs right side of the headstock (reverse) in black with Hamer stamp, I have a few NOS sets.
  19. Feel free to let me help you dispose of any 'mistakes'...
  20. A Special? Not interested-been done to death and there are tons out there cheap used. Why bother? A Tally style at least is more unique and would rawk.
  21. THIS. I have no interest in buying a WMG from anyone other than the guys in CT. The Tally body style could work as McChris described. Reverse Steve Stevens headstock and it'd be perfect!
  22. Looking good!!
  23. One of the heavier Hamers I've picked up was a korina Standard from the limited run. If the guitar is korina and Hamer, it's not what some call 'black korina' (which is not a real wood-it's the crap korina). Hamer rejected anything that was garbage and even a lot of good stuff. If I had that guitar, no way in hell I'd trade it for any Heritage ever made.
  24. I have a note that #7 0013 was in the UK at some point.
