  1. No-the publisher will have nothing to do with that. At this time, the plan would be that if you buy a copy, they'd have to be sent to us for signage and kewl schtuff...
  2. I can arrange to sign and number (and maybe something else cool) books for anyone-preordered or not. If you preordered, no fear!
  3. Great news-Joe and I just got the galley sheets in for the book-looks really good! For anyone wanting autographed copies, let me know-I might be able to get that arranged before you order...
  4. Agreed w/MCC on all points. Very nice.
  5. Single pickup FB FBIV w/reverse head Nielsen's checkerboard Standard!
  6. I think this says it all. I knew after my fifth or sixth custom order I was done because prices jumped dramatically. I actually considered one final one in late 2007 and had some cash put together for one. Then, after a preliminary pricing came back even saltier than I expected, I put up another guitar for sale to get the $$. That guitar was one I'd had numerous unsolicited offers to sell, so I figured it would go quickly. Took 3 weeks or so to sell-about two and a half weeks longer than the last one of that model I put up took. Doesn't sound so bad today, but in 2007, that freaked me out a bit. The market was definitely slowing, so I sold off a few more things and decided to skip the custom order. That worked out for me as I had some cash when the mid-2008 fire sales started and I got a guitar or two I'd wanted for a long time and paid taxes with the rest. Hamer has never really had the best timing!
  7. Ill sign just about anything...
  8. Ha! Unfortunately, without them, my sarcastic chicanery could come across as mean-spirited, which it is not. There-I used "chicanery" as threatened!
  9. Hell, I tried for years to get another one and was shot down many times. Kiz-I'm surprised you'd and issue with my attitude, since you well know I rarely have such an affliction! ;P (Note emoticon)
  10. On a positive, that just means that I have one of the only two that they did and that's just fine with me.
  11. Greg was thinking Baker, GMP and Robin...;P
  12. I believe that's one I owned for years. I removed the Floyd and reinstalled the trem, but it had the arm. Not sure if I filled the holes from the nut, but likely. I restored a few dozen modded Hamers to original spec in the 90s/early 00s. The pics don't do that finish justice.
  13. That track could easily fit on Rock and Roll Over.
  14. Carbon Copy=sweet. Looks great too.
  15. Wow. LOVE those. Greg from 3 Monkeys is an HFCer and a helluva great guy. Some guy named Brad is one of the other two monkeys...
  16. I'd LOVE to take this off of your hands, but not flush with cash at the moment and my reserve is waiting to pay the ROWYCO man... Not sure if I have anything in trade value comparable.
  17. "Look Sharp" is never far from regular rotation in my world. GREAT album all the way through. Title track, ISRGOWH?, Happy Loving Couples, "One More Time", etc...
  18. That guitar looks awesome. Great score no matter what collectibility might be!
  19. Always a good time for Supersickers, although I've been compiling a playlist of stuff from 1979 (the best year in music) for a project... Cheap Trick and Rainbow along with an assload of other great stuff from that year.
  20. Nice! Wish I had something to trade!
  21. Prototypes were available in any color. The most common finishes were the sunburst Finish, cherry trans and natural mahogany, but there are a ton of white ones too. Red and blue opaque are very uncommon finishes actually. Post pics and/or shoot me the SN and I can tell you more.
  22. I wish I still had the article from the Winston-Salem Journal talking about the Ratt show with Cheap Trick opening at Greensboro Coliseum. The front page banner had a pic of Nielsen and said "Ten Years and Still Rocking". The whole back page of the entertainment section was an article about Cheap Trick. The final paragraph gave Webster's definition for a rat and faves hostile and ticket info. Classic. That paper also had a page 2 world news headline when Husker Du broke up.
  23. Awesome!!! Congrats to you both!
  24. That doesn't mean it didn't ship that way-best way to tell would be to get a shot of the middle pickup cavity route. The middle and neck pickups are not original-bridge might be, but can't tell.
  25. The factory logs show a couple 78s with three pickups, but no 79s. 9 0766 is just listed as a black Sunburst w/crown inlays.
