It looks completely straight to me, just very clean. That lines up with the very clean ohsc. No funny business that I can see-trem plate is correct for an earlier 85.

Advice on "restoring" a 1995 Hamer 12-string bass
serial replied to hairbo's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
The toggle switch is far more useful than a Kahler or other trem on a bass, but there were lots of those installed in the 80s on basses! -
Cream's "Wheels of Fire". Good lord is that a terrible, boring album. Then there waz an Allman Bros LP (a live one-Fillmore East?) that was just painful although barely less so than WOF, which I bought thanks to EVH who said he learned 'Crossroads' note for note from that LP. OK-then how in the Hell did EVH get so good then? Not from that album. I remember a review for GTR-the famous one-liner: "SHT". Still amusing 30 years later.

Hey everyone-I've been getting a ton of emails about the book. Here's the preorder link from the publisher with a rough mockup (not final) of the cover. book_template.php If anyone wants to preorder, they'd have to send me the book and have me send it back (or to Joe or Paul, Jol, etc.). I will be ordering a quantity of books when they come out to save some time (not sure that it'll save any $$ or not), etc. if anyone is interested in that. Contact me when the book comes out and I can arrange to get you a copy then with my sig and personalization, serialization, and goodies... Thanks for all of the interest-just finished the edits and I think it looks GREAT!

The publisher will not send anything to me or anyone other tan the purchaser. If someone wants to mail me their book, I'll sign it (and include special schtuff). Unfortunately, I'm not making anything on this (or not much if we are), so you'd have to cover shipping both ways, but book rate round trip would probably run $5 tops in the US. I will be ordering an as-yet unspecified number of books when they come out that I'll be signing for people who have asked me to do that.
-
No-the publisher will have nothing to do with that. At this time, the plan would be that if you buy a copy, they'd have to be sent to us for signage and kewl schtuff...

I can arrange to sign and number (and maybe something else cool) books for anyone-preordered or not. If you preordered, no fear!

Great news-Joe and I just got the galley sheets in for the book-looks really good! For anyone wanting autographed copies, let me know-I might be able to get that arranged before you order...

I think this says it all. I knew after my fifth or sixth custom order I was done because prices jumped dramatically. I actually considered one final one in late 2007 and had some cash put together for one. Then, after a preliminary pricing came back even saltier than I expected, I put up another guitar for sale to get the $$. That guitar was one I'd had numerous unsolicited offers to sell, so I figured it would go quickly. Took 3 weeks or so to sell-about two and a half weeks longer than the last one of that model I put up took. Doesn't sound so bad today, but in 2007, that freaked me out a bit. The market was definitely slowing, so I sold off a few more things and decided to skip the custom order. That worked out for me as I had some cash when the mid-2008 fire sales started and I got a guitar or two I'd wanted for a long time and paid taxes with the rest. Hamer has never really had the best timing! -
Ill sign just about anything...

Ha! Unfortunately, without them, my sarcastic chicanery could come across as mean-spirited, which it is not. There-I used "chicanery" as threatened! -

Hell, I tried for years to get another one and was shot down many times. Kiz-I'm surprised you'd and issue with my attitude, since you well know I rarely have such an affliction! ;P (Note emoticon) -

On a positive, that just means that I have one of the only two that they did and that's just fine with me. -

That track could easily fit on Rock and Roll Over.

Wow. LOVE those. Greg from 3 Monkeys is an HFCer and a helluva great guy. Some guy named Brad is one of the other two monkeys... -
I'd LOVE to take this off of your hands, but not flush with cash at the moment and my reserve is waiting to pay the ROWYCO man... Not sure if I have anything in trade value comparable.

"Look Sharp" is never far from regular rotation in my world. GREAT album all the way through. Title track, ISRGOWH?, Happy Loving Couples, "One More Time", etc...

That guitar looks awesome. Great score no matter what collectibility might be! -
Always a good time for Supersickers, although I've been compiling a playlist of stuff from 1979 (the best year in music) for a project... Cheap Trick and Rainbow along with an assload of other great stuff from that year.
