  1. Just short of knighthood, but yes, he was at least honored.
  2. How is he not a knight or at the very least commander at this point?
  3. I have not been able to get an e-mail response from Jonathan since his son was born. I must have pissed him off or something. After not hearing from him for over 2 months I decided to go with dry transfer decals from All Out Graphics in Vancouver. Their service has been exceptional. lol Reminds me of a certain green-eyed redhead. How about calling it Toriamos?
  4. I remember reading on this board that even in the best of times, Hamer USA was barely if at all profitable. It was the import line that really drove the profitability of the Hamer brand. My guess is that if the Hamer custom shop were spun off, it wouldn't survive a year.
  5. Been tube-free for a few years now thanks to my DigiTech RP355 and RP155.
  6. I can't sit through most Foo albums, but every once in a while they record a song that knocks me out, Rope being one of them. Cred? Most of our musical heroes were pretenders of one type or another, sorry if I'm bursting any bubbles. Fake it 'til you make it.
  7. David Torn does some absolutely sick things with his whammies.
  8. Mitch, your trash talk needs work. LOL
  9. I really like your guitar work. 1 or 2 overbends maybe, but fantastic chords and textures. The deadpan humor in the lyrics creates a bit of cognitive dissonance given the melancholy of the guitar parts. I feel like the lyrics should be more dreamlike to match the music. What was your recording process and rig?
  10. Who made that one? I think it looks pretty cool.
  11. I think some of this guy's ideas are pretty neat, others maybe not so much: http://www.ricktoone.com/instruments.html
  12. Man, if that thing ever developed a twisted neck, how would you know?
  13. lol, Feynman is toast.
  14. Not clear that it's really a Dr. Seuss quote, but it's a good one nonetheless.
  15. Yeah, not doing it for me. One thing I noticed in particular, unlike other VH songs where the solo sounds like an integral part of the song, this one sounds like it's from a totally different song. This kind of midtempo song needs more of a Jimmy Page-type solo. The swells at the very end of the song were pretty cool, though.
  16. My thoughts are with you and Ronni's family. She sounded like a real rock 'n' roller.
  17. Wow, I guess buffing really works!
  18. lol, Bill that phone of yours is going to get you into trouble someday.
  19. It was in the Synchronicity II video. It looks like he's playing a fish skeleton he found at the dump.
