  1. TV Jones in the "English mount" style will drop right in with the pickup rings TV Jones sells.
  2. GFS Liverpools. The Newport wants to twang, might as well let it.

  4. “I can build exactly what I want at my own pace and smear my own DNA all over everything.” Eww. Also, what kind of "review" doesn't say a single word about how the guitar sounds and plays? But on the other hand, I do think it looks cool.

  6. Radiohead - King of Limbs Peter Gabriel - Security Peter Gabriel - Us STP - STP Floratone (Bill Frisell) - Floratone
  7. I would just go as light as you can get.
  8. Yikes, a 10-lb Strat (without hardware?) sounds way too hefty to me. Strat bodies can be called lightweight if they're under 4 lbs, and the necks tend to be more than a pound lighter than the bodies. People tend to shoot for the 7.5 to 8 lbs total weight fully assembled range.
  9. Depends on whether you interpret the image as looking at his front (right-handed) or from his back (left-handed). Kinda like this optical illusion: spinning girl.
  10. Thanks. Still grounded at the claw! Good, I only mentioned it because black hardware sometimes needs to be dremeled at the grounding point to make sure you have metal-to-metal contact. I learned that with my black Stetsbar mounting base.
  11. Looks cool. Make sure your strings are still grounded.

  13. Nastiness is in the eye of the beholder, but Gaga can sing.
  14. When I was signing up for my first ever non-school e-mail address back in the mid-'90s, all the permutations of my real name were taken, and having a number tacked onto the end seemed so dehumanizing. So I just brainstormed for a memorable string that wasn't taken. This pun popped into my head. I thought about using it as a band name, but the right situation never came up.
  15. Happy birthday, Chris! And um, they're not twins?! Seriously?
  16. That's my take too. They had a lot of headscratchers, but they also had some honest to goodness kickass songs.
