  1. The unbelievable part is it went through a full auction and only sold for $305 a few weeks ago. Ridiculous considering there are hardly any out there with ebony boards. If I hadn't just gotten my Cali, I would have been all over it the first time around (my Diablo II came from the same guy). -Austin
  2. Ebony for me. Feels much better under my fingers and looks cool. Although I'm also a big fan of Pau Ferro (feels like ebony, but looks like rosewood). -Austin
  3. Well, there's always this: -Austin
  4. Yes, it's gone to the original person who wanted it I believe. -Austin
  5. hey austin, huge XTC fan here. you may already know 'bout this but here is a pretty cool archive of some live shows. back to the program.... i horde albums/CDs by XTC and Adrian Belew. mike Thanks for the link; I have alot of downloading to do -Austin
  6. For me it'd be XTC. 11 regular albums, a demo album, a radio bootleg live album that was recorded in Ann Arbor where I went to college (but many years before I was there of course), their Dukes of the Sratosphear stuff. Andy Partridge is a songwriting genius IMO and Dave Gregory and Colin Moulding are both awesome on their respective instruments (Mouldings also not a bad songwriter himself). The only album I don't have is their first one. I just have a mental block about getting an album that's called "White Music", I guess -Austin
  7. Dammit, someone buy my PA-STK1!
  8. We could call it the HFC "half-a-twenty" celebration
  9. Sorry, I've ripped them out of every guitar I've had them in too fast to get a nuanced idea of the tone . Mostly, I've had them in Cali's and I always replace them with single-coil-sized humbuckers (like Hot Rails or Dimarzio Choppers). I had one in the middle position of an HSH Chap, but I only really played it in combination with the bridge and neck PATB humbuckers (where it sounded very good), not alone. -Austin
  10. I tried shooting you and email through the board, but I'm not sure it went through. The pickup is yours if you want it. -Austin
  11. I believe someone was as well, but I cleared out all my PM's so I don't remember who it was. Admiral B maybe?
  12. Clearing out the parts draw after a few months of swapping. Prices include shipping and PayPal is accepted but Money Order/Cashier's Check is greatly preferred. PA-STK1 Neck: SOLD! PATB1: SOLD! Chopper: SOLD! Phat Cat Neck: SOLD! Thanks for looking. -Austin

  14. Awesome. Hell, all the clips from that concert are sweet! Makes me want to hunt my cassette down and listen to the whole album. Anyway, what weird mutant Hamer is Lyle playing in that? Looks like a Centafornian or something! -Austin
  15. Sadly, I missed again (though at least I was in the neighborhood this time). -Austin
  16. Happy Birthday!
  17. Of the 2 of those, I would consider the Chap bass more of a score, but then I have an irrational love of ebony fretboards and boomers. Not sure about the exact values, but I'm farily certain the bass is worth more. -Austin
  18. And really, does anyone even do aftermarket Floyd installations anymore?
  19. I imagine that has something to do with it. Didn't stop me though!
  20. Asinine. Absolutely zero reason for that much of an up charge. Economically, the reason for charging anything for anything is...because you can. Any other reasoning is irrelevant. -Austin
  21. I got pricing information in late January and I'm pretty sure getting a Watson with a Floyd and boomers would have been more than that Cali went for (I seem to have deleted the email unfortunately). The Floyd upcharge alone is alot more than $500 (I think it was maybe 1K list on my Studio). -Austin
  22. The other thing is, if you buy something like a used set-neck Cali, it will be worth more than what you bought it for a year later. The same wouldn't be true if you spend the same amount for money to have Hamer build you a new Watson with a Floyd even though the Watson might be a "better" guitar (also, I believe the Watson would probably cost a bit more than what the SN Cali went for, but I can't find any of my quote information to verify that).
