I'm not making a living at eBay, but I've done over 100 transactions without running into a psycho so far. If I do, so what? 1 negative feedback isn't going to scare anyone away from anything I'm auctioning off, and if it does, fuggem. -Austin
Try one with a wide-fat neck (which isn't as wide or fat as the name would suggest, but still beefier than the wide-thin necks it sounds like you've tried). I actually like both carves. -Austin
Buy used and you'll do fine price-wise. Hell, have you priced out a new Hamer lately? I personally would never buy anything of theirs without a trem (comparable Hamers are more my speed), but their trems are very nice and it's hard to find something comparable when it comes to those models.

Wow! You have some f@cking skills! That is amazing! Given what you've showed us so far, I'm sure that Standard will be awesome when you're done. Too bad about the dumbass scumbag seller though. -Austin
Why are vintage strats and LP's so expensive? Hell, why are 4-digit Standards so expensive? I wouldn't buy any of that stuff at current prices unless I had more money than I know what to do with, but apparently there are plenty of people who have exactly that kind of money and if they want to spend it on that, well they're no dumber than anyone else spending money on what is IMO stupid bullshit (and the list of stuff that falls in that category is virtually limitless ).

Holy Sh!t! That some of the best tone/playing I've ever heard and definitely the best I've heard on YouTube! Why doesn't the 59 in my Studio sound like that?

O.k., well they're not brief, but the following songs have spare solos that elevate them: 1) Don Henley's Boys of Summer 2) Lyle Lovett's Road to Ensanda -Austin
