Does anyone know what the five pickup selection settings are? The second one from the bridge sounds out of phase. I am going to guess the bridge position is just the humbucker, then the humbucker with the single coil that sits next to it (the "motherbucker"), then the single coil by itself, essentially the middle pickup, then the two single coils, then the neck single coil? Is that it? Does anyone know for sure? I guess I can plug it in and tap on the magnets, duh. The unfilled-out warranty card is in the case with the Arlington Heights address on it. Pretty cool.

So this guitar showed up today, all the way from Massachusetts to my little corner of the Pacific Northwest. It is “as new”. Not even a pick swirl. Looks like it just came from the factory even though it’s 30 years old. I am shocked at the condition. Is on the heavy side. Probably 10 pounds anyway, but what a beauty.

Hi Guys, I think this model is called a Monaco Monaco? Anyone here got one they are willing to part with? Thanks!

Long time no see. How many miles has that guitar travelled? I still have these pictures from when #5 visited me in 2016. This girl's name is Pirate (the drummer's girlfriend), and I got to take the guitar to a gig.

I have been on a bit of a roll these last 30 days. First, I bought Ernie's SG Junior, then last week I picked up Don's amazing Talladega, and today I have this really clean and flamey Phantom Custom inbound. I owned one of these Phantom Customs for four or five years and shed it when I sold about half of my "collection" to gather cash for three surgeries in a row. The Phantom, my Junior, the Camstone Duotone, two Superpros, a Duotone Custom, the Newport Filtertron, my Special LE (Mr. Quilty), and a bunch of others. I went from 40-plus guitars to 15. The Phantom Custom I had is one that I have truly missed. It has tonal options unlike any other guitar I've owned. So I have been watching for one. This beauty was on Reverb, and the seller recently dropped his asking price substantially, so I pulled the trigger. Here I am with my old one, and then a couple of picks of the one shipping today from Massachusetts. Just ordered a Chicken Head knob for the pickup selector. I seem to recall it has four or five settings. Can't tell where it's set without the Chicken Head.

NHD: 1980 Hamer Special (blue with a matching headstock)

SCORE! Hard to believe it's 44 years old. Congrats! -
Let's see those Juniors you got (don't care what brand)

6’0” 225 A tad smaller than Andre, but yeah that pic makes the Junior look kinda small on me. -
This isn’t my first Tally. I owned this exquisite quilt top and foolishly sold it years ago. Posted here how much I missed it and Don offered to hook me up.

So I have been here 20 years and have been playing Hamers since '78. It's been a minute since I had an NHD. Picked this up from Don yesterday on my drive down to Portland. Won't be home to plug it in till tomorrow night, but have been playing it in my hotel room, and this guitar is AWESOME! Not too bad on the eyes either. Thanks Don!

Cool Guitar Alert - Heritage Ascent+ H-137
Camstone replied to santellavision's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
Is this guitar why you sold me your SG Junior two weeks ago? -
I have owned both the Newport and the Newport Pro. Sold the Pro 15 years ago and wish I hadn't, still have the Phat Cat guitar and it's awesome. I remember that at higher volume, the Pro with the Seth Lovers could go into feedback easily. I have not had that experience with the Phat Cats, but I don't play at high stage volumes like I used to. Just my 2 cents. Also owned a custom 3 pickup model for a short time, which was more of a jazz guitar.

So, I'm buying a Violin.......sort of.
Camstone replied to The Shark's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
My Yamaha is a solid mahogany body with faux F-holes. Your instrument looks like it's the real deal, built like a violin. Looking forward to a tone report. -

I like it. I bought this early 90's Yamaha Aska model about a year and a half ago, and it gets lots of attention when I bring it to a gig. Curious, how did you connect with a luthier in Indonesia? -
When I do acoustic gigs, I bring along my Takamine EN20-12 jumbo. It's a great guitar. At electric gigs, I always bring a 12 and use it on a few tunes. I used to use a Duesenberg Duocat 12, but a few years back, I bought an Eastwood NSH12, which is a Japanese knockoff of an Epiphone Casino. It's killer and has a very wide flat neck. I like it better than the Dusenberg. I owned a Strat 12 for a while, but I never really bonded with it and moved it along. Can't find a pic of the Eastwood, but here's the Duocat.

So, back in the late 70's early 80's, my #1 guitar was a 1974 Les Paul Custom 20th Anniversary in Alpine White that had faded to a really cool Ivory color. I sold it (along with all of my electrics, including a four-digit Hamer Sunburst and Standard) when I got married and started having kids. I have really missed that guitar, and now they sell for big money. I found this 2011 Baker B3 on Reverb and was watching it. The seller dropped the price, and then I made him an offer which he accepted. I have never played a Baker, but I know, mostly from reading here, that they are high-quality builds. This one is hollow without a hole. Has a cedar top and a maple neck with an ebony board. Lollar PAFs. This will be my first non-sunburst finished guitar that I have owned in 20 years. Due to land here today. The pic is from the Reverb ad. This should scratch my old itch. I will let y'all know.
