  1. Happy Birthday Greg!
  2. I was planning on ordering a Newport with a flamed maple top, ebony fingerboard, Lollar Imperials and Duotone electronics. But alas, not going to happen now.
  3. I came up with Camstone back in 1999 when I first joined Ebay and have used it as my handle since in a number of places/ways. My name is Cam and I am in the stone business. Camstone is the name of the corporation behind my biz. Here's what I do: http://www.greenmanstone.com
  4. Pic of me from 1979 with my '77
  5. This is a Custom Shop guitar that Fender did for the 2004 NAMM show. It's fully chambered with a spruce top. Weighs 5.2 lbs. I put Lollars in it. Quite the tone monster and so light you can hardly feel it on the strap.
  6. I love the Lollar P90's in my Hamers. When I replaced the stock SD's in my Duotone with Lollars, the guitar came alive.
  7. A '77 Sunburst that I had from 78 to 80. I was playing a lot back then and had a bunch of guitars, but that was my #1. Here's some pics from back then. These pics are 30 years old, man how time flies.
  8. In 1974 I was 16 years old. I went to a Deep Purple concert at the Seattle Coliseum and ELO was the opening act. That concert was an awakening for me. I ran out and bought "Eldorado" and listened to it to the point that I wore it out. Seems like a long time ago, I guess it was. RIP.
  9. I owned a '77 Sunburst from 1979 to 1981. My guitar did not have a shim under the bridge. The sustain block was solid metal to the face of the guitar. Like a current sustain block bridge. The pics below were both taken in 1979.
  10. Happy Birthday Greg!
  11. I thinks it's this brother here: http://www.hamerfanclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=31847
  12. Wow! I've been around here for awhile and I have never heard or seen these. That's an awesome instrument and should be part of the stock Hamer offering IMHO. I'd buy one, and it would seem like it should be a less expensive model for the factory to build then a Studio or Artist since they don't have to carve the arched top. But I just remembered they aren't doing crowns so nevermind. I'll keep saving for my Watson.
  13. They already did-with old stock Dimarzios too. Oh, OK then, but..... I thought of it first.
  14. I think they should do a 1978 B&C Sunburst reissue. I'd buy one.
  15. I want Silentman's Watson please. yummy! Although this one blows me away every time I open the case and it's already at my address.
  16. "What kind of vintage amp should I get?" A new one
  17. Happy Birthday Guys! I foresee single malt in Peso's near future (it's 3:30 now).
  18. I have no idea what you're talking about.
  19. You'll have to eventually sell it to me so that I can torture you with pictures of me playing it. Just kidding! Congrats! That's an amazing instrument.
  20. Welcome! Might as well just hand over your wallet now.
  21. When I ordered my Special last year, I sent the pickup to the factory that I wanted installed. I still paid for the pickup that was not installed and they didn't use, but knew that's what was going to happen going in. Like cmatthes said, if it's anything that they have to do differently than usual, they are going to charge for it. I did get an ebony overlay on an unbound headstock without ordering or paying for it.... which is cool!
