I've had a few. My favorite was a Reinhardt 18 which was a TMB clone. As I got older I wanted cleaner/moreheadroom. So I ùse a Deluxe Reverb or a 5E3 at àround 3. I think it's the 6v6 vsEL84 sound difference.

I tried to use that schematic. But the Rangers layout was different than the Duel. I think the Ranger may have morphed into the Duel. Great sounding amps! Both of them!!

I just repaired a Peavey Ranger amp. 120 watts of all tube power. I was amazed on the clean channel it was in Fender Twin clean sparkle territory. On the "Dirt" Channel it would go into Metal Zone! I'd never heard of this Model and had to contact Peavey for Schematics. This Peavey is a sleeper big time! 2-12" eminence speakers. Peavey gets the redheaded stepchild treatment... but I can remember entire backlines of their amps and many playing there guitars! It's Vintage American Made Goodness now!!!

I watched that too. Also been watching Chris's YouTube channel for a couple years. The experiences they've had while touring are great info for anyone thinking about taking a band out on the road. Their last American tour was sold out so they're gaining ground!! As far as getting a Yammy Hammy.... not for me....

Look at your top. When a Acoustic drys out in the winter the top starts to shrink into the guitar. Time for humidity!!! The key was it happened after 5 weeks just enough time to draw the top down. Put a straight edge on it. See if it's sucked in. If it is the damp bathroom towel and guitar in a black garbage bag usually cures it. Not a wet towel a barely damp Towel and it cannot be touching the guitar. Or take it to a luthier and they'll probly due the same thing! I call it intensive guitar care!

I remember using JBL's and EV's because that what amps came with back in the day. They where loud and brite. Your headed in the right direction with your recone choice!

The DenHer Deluxe 6V6 is biased at 60%. I find that to be easy on tubes and still have great tone. Amps that are cathode biased run hot. I've had them come in biased @ 90+%. Then you see the lettering on the tubes burn. EL 84 amp are usually running on the hot side. I use this for all amps! https://www.tedweber.com/bias-calc/ This is from the Master! I had an opportunity to lay hands on one of Joe B's Stage V's. The neck!! Why why why can't they build guitars like that anymore ??? Oh The Neck, The Neck, The Neck.... left me mumbling.....
