Solving the neck-dive problem with a SG
Travis replied to Saul Goodman's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
That ain’t you…. 🙄😂 -
A name I recognize over the last 20+ years I’ve been here. Godspeed, JohnnyB…

Nice! I thought about the Vega when I upgraded my Mirages. Ended up going with the Mann vintage trem. It’s a fantastic option and big upgrade over the stock Wilkinson unit, which I still have on my Mirage Maple top. Maybe I’ll try the Vega on the maple top and see how it compares to the Mann bridge… 🤔

THIS…. This is one of the most valuable pieces of information I’ve ever read.

If I remember correctly, he was in a bind and sold it cuz he needed the cash pretty quickly. I’d have to go back and search the archives for his post. But I don’t think he was supper happy about having to let it go. I watched his Duncan demo vids a bunch of times. Killer player and that Monaco is tits.

Only one has the correct headstock…. -
Didn’t realize you were married to women before…. But I get it. I don’t miss my first wife AT ALL thanks to my second wife. More to your point, I don’t think I’d miss selling guitars if I switched to the keytar… 😜

Seymour Duncan Powerstage 700

Did you use this with your Friedman IR pedal/preamps? I was wondering how well these would work with my IR-J or if something like a Quilter would be more appropriate for a portable/travel rig. -
Friedman IR-X SOLD

This is great to hear as I paid way more for my IR-J than you’re selling here. #validation These things are legit. Somebody buy this…. -

Nice! Congrats on the score. I played a similar one a few months ago. Alder bod with maple cap. A really great guitar. When they announced them I knew I had to try one. The wife and I were up in Milwaukee for our anniversary in November and there was a place 10 minutes from the hotel that had one, along with some Tom Andersons and a Knaggs Kenai. Of the guitars I played, the Oso was the most comfortable and the body contours hugged me perfectly. The roasted neck was super smooth and slick. In the end, the Oso Had a smaller neck than I wanted and I fell in love with the asymmetrical back shape of the Knaggs. But, that Oso was a damn fine piece of gear.
